Thinking of booking for upcoming cruise. We have stayed before and it was really nice but it was about 4 or 5 years ago.

We were there in July 2010 and it was as nice as it was as it was when it opened. They have been good about maintenance so the place looks great. The staff is really sweet and you can't beat the size of the rooms and all that there is to do there. It is expensive it you are going there just to sleep before the cruise. If you are looking for a nice place just to sleep, the Hampton Inn is nice, the room is a nice size and there is a short path that takes you right on the beach. Several rooms also have good beach views. We wouldn't stay there with kids for long stays because RonJon's has so much more to do but for the night it is very nice and afforable.

They don't have many discounts but they do give you a discount for AAA.

Just an update on the Ron Jon. We did not have reservation due to weather concerns and arrival time. We walked up at about 6pm and got a great rate of $70 before tax. Studio. the frontdesk even asked us for room preference. Corner room on top floor where we could see the Dream coming in to port as well as docked next morning. We loved it. Studio room(king) for us 2 adults. Had lite breakfast in room..microwave,refrig and coffee maker. Great deal as we were gone by 9 the next morning. Very worth the money!!!!

Forgot to say...he offered us free parking. No shuttle but cab service. We declined as hubby likes to be in driver seat!
