Summary, Observations, Tips & Tricks

Random Thoughts

The Awesome:

Magic Kingdom Private Party
Castle Projection Show
Disney's style and class when it comes to events
Restrooms in The District (yes, really)
Christening ceremony
Family of 5 oceanview cabins
Comfy beds
Kids Clubs, ALL
Castaway Cay (of course)
Virtual Portholes
Hand washers in kid clubs
Dream and Magic Horn War
DJ lessons at Vibe, Vibe outdoor area...heck, just everything Vibe
Bread baskets in Royal Palace, Animators; butter knife in Animators

The Good:

Double clothes hangers
Drawers don't slam
red pillow
red or blue blankets on the lower berth
account visible on TV
night light feature
new pirate show
Spa (would be awesome, but no single villas)
Waverunner excursion
On Demand TV
Wave bar...never crowded

The Okay:

Wishes while seated directly in front of the Castle
Wave phones (they don't work consistently)
the new take off the ship towel system
Enchanted Garden embarkation lunch
Galley Tour

Needs Help:

Tables too close together at restaurants
Some servers
S&M Evolution Dancers
Breakfast at any of the restaurants (why are the pancakes like cardboard?)
the clock in the stateroom...can't figure it out
Signs by elevators, should have midship, aft, forward
lack of hot tub space
elevator area on deck 3
Whozits & Whatzits, never saw it open once

Just plain bad:

Doors in hallways in staterooms (main door goes in, closet doors go out, bathroom doors go out, doors are everywhere!)
Handling of special merchandise (i.e. Dooneys)
Guest Service area
Tiny pools
Walking through Cabanas on deck 12 if you are trying to get to the Aft elevators (what is that??? seriously)

I'm in too! A Christening report to look forward to.
Your Mv TR will be an interesting read too, as I will be on the Dream then so it will be great to compare notes so to speak!
We are also planning a little Harry Potter time too before we board!

Sounds like a lot of fun! I'm excited about the Dream though I don't know when I'll be sailing on her....hopefully sooner rather than later.

Looking forward to your report on the new ship

I'm officially antsy.

I'm a planner...for vacations. Everyday life gets handled day by day .

So far, what I know for the Christening event is very little. I know where we are staying, and that we'll be at Magic Kingdom sometime around 6 PM on the 18th, and I know we head to port around 7 AM on the 19th. I know that the Christening ceremony at port is somewhere around 10, and that we are onboard by 1 PM. I know we are leaving Castaway Cay pretty early on the 2th. I know transfers are provided. I know there is a hospitality room at Wilderness Lodge.

That is about it .

Ooh, and I know our oceanview family stateroom that sleeps 5.

Rumors...lanyards for the party. Special event for TAs only then families later. Food coupons provided. Several others unconfirmed.

Patiently waiting . We leave next Monday, a week from today!

I can't wait to read all about it. Especially seeing the cabin for a family of 5. We are going on our first DCL family cruise in Oct. on the Dream and we are a family of 5 so I am really interested in seeing the room.
