Agreed. I can't really decide which time I like to go best. I just like to go for both!

We likely wont be getting APs again, but I think we may be getting APs for Universal next, but staying on Disney property, and going to the water parks and such next summer... At least that is his declaration... I say we'll squeeze in a day or two somehow..

That sounds like a nice compromise - a little Universal and a little Disney.

I am glad I got to go, would like to take the kids some time. Though, I will say you can experience everything less the cocoa and cookies after the final party, so in many ways, I think the MNSSHP is more unique... HOWEVER seeing the parade at night with the snow falling was the best part of that night!!!!! Those are coming up next!!!

That's the very reason we have not paid to go to MVMCP. Other than the cookies and cocoa, we have seen it all with the masses in the week between Christmas and New Year's. With MNSSHP, you either pay to see it, or you don't see it. We've done it twice and loved it!

Not so sure about that....

I have no clue about the photo you are talking about, going back to FB to see what I posted!

All I did was FB and Marc took pics with his camera (when he remembered to take it)

I just love the idea of your get-a-way trip, lounging around the pool, taking in the resorts and the party!
Great fun if you ask me!
Such a "sweet" thought DH had to surprise you with the dessert party!

I almost think we go too often for trip reports, just can't get them finished with life in between. My life anyway....

I have! Oh my gosh, it looks so AWESOME, the next 4 1/2 months seriously cannot pass fast enough!

I got a little something in the mail yesterday - a 40% off pin code, I'm trying to figure out how to bring up the subject with Don, I sure would like to stay at AKL before the cruise........ Why can I not just be satisfied with what I have??

Oh lucky DAWG! cool PIN! I totally understand though, I am really wanting to go for Memorial day, for SWW for the boys, but DH is not likely opening the wallet for that one.... we are already going on our little solo cruise, and then the big summer adventure, you know?

But, in your case, can you use the 40% for the one night? Are the points for the Hilton anytime? Like they don't expire? Because if that is the case maybe they can be better used... you know? So in this case a night at the AK would be relaxing, fun, and plenty to do right there... And dinner, of course! What is the $ comparatively to the advantage of holding onto your Hilton points? That might make sense then... 40% is a great deal... and the rate hasn't gone all the way up at that point, right? Not the highest summer season ...?

What a lovely suprise DH organised Eating around MK was a great idea, too many temptations for me if I had eaten dinner too, would def have rolled out of MK and missed out on goodies We have been lurking on the DCL section lots and the pics look amazing

I'll chime in with my pleas to Wigd! Like everyone has said, you don't have to do a conventional TR -- you could do themed highlights: shopping/souvenirs, silly pictures, pictures of people doing things they shouldn't.

Yep, the reward points can be used elsewhere, on this trip even, so cost wise it's just a little bit more than what we would have been spending. We talked about it last night and he gave me the green light to make the reservation but said that if he aquired enough points to cover all of our hotel stays before we left then we have to cancel the AKL stay. I was good with that! He just shook his head, trying to figure out how he got roped into another Disney trip

That is sooo funny.. That has been Matt this year too, with the December days, and then we are at BLT for one night (Cali Grill already reserved thank you very much) before the cruise... and he said the same thing... we are spending as much time at WDW as we did last year with passes!!! Well not as much time, but definitely Florida!!!

He is totally going to be sold on the boat if he can enjoy cruising... not sure what his opinion about that is, in general, but if he will like it, then he will like Disney's cruise. The kid centers your guys will totally dig I bet, and you get a double vacation in a way, you know? So much FUN!!!!!!!!! One night in the AK would be fabulous in my mind, just before the cruise -- sets the tone! I will take lots of pics, and tell me if there is anything specific you want to know about ahead of time! I am really scouting things out for my guys this time...
