I'm joining! I've read and lurked on your other trip reports, but I'm full on board now!
My mom and I ate at Sanaa when we were at AKL before too. I loved the food there! So nice to have a different kind of restaurant.

Day One continues....
Day One continues...
So before I go into the rest of the evening, let me give you a little background as to how we decided on our costumes for MNSSHP. Earlier in the year, we went out to dinner for some trip planning. After a great hibachi dinner, it was off to Friendly's for some sundaes and costume planning. ![]() We wanted to stick with a theme that would work for all of us. I had two personal conditions - it had to be cute AND I didn't want to sweat to death. (For those of you who've read my other TR's, you know I have a bit of a sweating issue... )We tossed around the idea of the three fairies from Sleeping Beauty, but that seemed like it would be ALOT of work. (Help me, Megan and Andi, if you remember some of our other ideas!) We eventually got a great idea! What about the female characters from Peter Pan?!?!? How perfect is that?! I'd been chompin' at the bit to be some kind of fairy, so I would be Tinkerbell, Andi would be Wendy, and Megan would by Tigerlily. It was set - we would be the girls from Peter Pan! ![]() I got in touch with one of the ladies who helps with costumes in a theatre group that I've worked with. She's a great seamstress and said she could make a customized costume just for me! Megan found an Indian costume that worked PERFECT for Tigerlily, and Andi got a great girl's nightgown that looked just like Wendy's dress! Here's the result! (One of our photopass shots from the party.) ![]() Aren't we purty? ![]() So...... After our Sanaa dinner, we had to get ready! Time was of the essence! We had all kinds of fun make-up to do - including glitter for me! Fun!!! (Yes, I'm a dork, but by now you probably all know that I really don't care! )Here we are getting ourselves all ready! ![]() It was really funny walking down the hall and out the hotel to the MK bus. We weren't the only ones in costume, but we definitely got noticed! And we were ready to have a great time - after all, we were in Disney!!!!!! ![]() Next up - Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!!!!!!! Woohoo!!! |
