Sorry about your cruise. That stinks! , But yes, at least you still have Disney to look forward to!

Sorry you had to cancel~but that was probably for the best if your aunt was going to have to go through that...And Disney is always a good Balm for what Ails Ya!! LOL!!! We had some friends on the cruise ship! I haven't talked to them about it yet, but they were at church Sunday and Pastor gave them a shout out...it was a cruise they had planned for their 22 Anniversary!

Trying to make ADR's right now............ Stupid new WDW site will only let me make them for my first day. It's not recognizing the 180+10. I went to the dining boards here and apparently it has been happening to everyone. Guess I'll have to wait and call at 7:00. Kind of hard when I've got to get the kids on the bus at 7:15. People are reporting waiting over an hour just to talk to someone....

Never done Disney World with young kids! Ahh!!!
You'll be fine. Most kids are pretty easy as long as you don't push them too much. If you act really excited about something, then they'll think it's exciting.

I know! My friends won't even take my advice about staying on the property most of the time.

That is frustrating. I hope you were able to get what you want!

I'm having the hardest time planning for this trip. I think it's all the FP+ stuff...I just can't make up my mind on anything. I'm so worried we're going to get there and they're still going to be working out the kinks.

seems like this new system is not being very user friendly!! And I do not think I like the new Fast Pass plus thing, or whatever its called...it's just becoming harder and harder to have a spontaneous trip there...And you all know how I loooove planning!! I just think that if you have to plan every single step it isn't as fun or magical...maybe we will try it and love it,..who knows.

I have some hopes for it, but many others think it will overload the FP system.

Ultimately, we can always count on the people who hate planning to not plan, which means even if you're willing to book a week out, you'll probably be fine.
It all will be determined in time.
I do hope there's something going on now that will be drastically changed in the coming weeks, because I've heard awful things about the Standby wait times. I do agree that a single FP to Toy Story won't make me any happier about waiting in line for over an hour at RnRC, when in the past I could FP both.

I'm starting to think it's a good thing that I don't have plans to go back to WDW for a while. Maybe they can work all the kinks out in the next year! We toyed with the idea of a new years trip, but I'm a little conflicted. Lots of DVC points are needed, plus it's crowded, but it is so festive... Probably won't happen.

In just over 2 weeks we're headed to Hilton Head! I've done NOTHING. Dave has made most of the plans/arrangements. I have a list of places I want to go, and that's it. I guess it's going to be relaxing!

I don't know if I'll ever be able to justify going over New Year's again. I toyed with the idea this year, because my brother went with band, but it just didn't make any sense. I feel bad for him though, because I think they were only given the opportunity to get to Rope Drop once. He said the lines were AWFUL.
He actually went to see a movie with his friends while they were at Universal, because it was the only thing that didn't have a ridiculous line.
I told him he should just save the money the trip cost and go with me at some point, because it would be so much better. He didn't want to though.

I'm thinking that if we do go then again, we'll have to plan way in advance, so we can stay at Shades of Green.

I don't think FP+ will be anywhere near as complicated once it's fully applied. I think right now the biggest problem is that they're running both systems alongside one another, and they don't know enough about the new system to adjust the numbers accordingly.

Apparently the new WDW site does not recognize the 180+10 days.... So it only let me make an ADR for my first day. So basically I got up at 5:45am for nothing. Had to wait until 7am to call. Luckily I only had to hold for about 10-15 minutes. I read on here that with the number of calls they are getting at 7am everyday because of the website not working correctly that people have had to hold until 8-8:30 just to talk to an agent. Glad that didn't happen to me because I ended up getting called into work when I was making my ADR's!! Yes, it was a super crazy morning here!

We just got the 2013 planning dvd in the mail today and I can't wait to watch it! I'm so excited to see the new Fantasyland! Em had dance class tonight so it was too late to watch it when we got home. I told them we would watch it for Valentine's Day tomorrow!
It's my pleasure! I love giving my client's kiddos some goodies for their trip. I will look for Star Wars lanyards...I have Mickey, Toy Story and Cars right now for boys. Lots of princess/fairy ones for girls!

Speaking of East Coast trips....if anyone ever has a desire to see Niagara Falls, be sure to let me know! We only live 20 minutes from there and I can be your tour guide! I can show you all the great places to eat and things to do!

Hi Snowbirds! Had to jump on to see my ticker. It's been such a loooooong week!!!!! I needed to see my countdown to make me feel better. Some days I have to remind myself I'm working for my Disney vacation and it gets me through! 105 more days!!!!!

That stinks! Hopefully they get the kinks worked out soon. I'm a little concerned about going in June and having issues with the new system.

No worries if you don't have Star Wars. I can pick one up for him! It's so sad he's at that age now where he's too "cool" for the "little kids" stuff. I always hit the Disney Store outlet in Lancaster PA before our trips and get them a couple character tshirts and it's getting harder and harder to find ones for him. No more Cars or Buzz. Now it's Star Wars and Pirates of the Caribbean.

We have been talking about going to Niagara for a couple years now. The last time we went was in 2000 way back before Sept 11th when you didn't need a passport. Now we would have to get passports to cross to the Canadian side.

My family is the same way Shawna!! We always say we are going to do something new, but we never do! We used to go to Niagara Falls once in awhile before you needed passports to go to Canada. I'm not getting passports for Canada! We used to go out to eastern PA and to Hershey and all that out there. It is a lot of fun, but we kind of did it to death. But as far as going on a real vacation far away, we always end up back at Disney. It's just our place I guess! We are however adding on a few days at the beach before our next Disney trip. Maybe you guys could do something similar to change it up a bit, if you're looking for a change. There's lots to do and see in central FL. It's just hard for some of us to break outside those WDW gates!
