OH...Yeah........BABY!


My MOST favorite dessert! Like pudding skin times 100!!! It is served on the semi-formal night...

That, and the Palo souffle, AND the Gran Marnier Souffle, which I forgot to mention previously, are competetive runners-up! ORDER ALLLLLLL!!!!!!

And then there's this-



It is from the Til we Meet Again menu(the last night), and it is Seafood Linguini Pasta. I loooooooooved this. The pasta was perfect (which was REALLY a FEAT!) and the seafood was- believe it or not, on a cruise ship, just......PERFECTO!

That's my commmentary- just for you, KARA, and anyone else, of course, who likes it!

I know you, and that handsome boy you have hoodwinked into preparing your food tray, along with that little soda spy you have sooooo successfully raised, will have the BEST time basking in the Caribbean sun in just a few weeks.


Just remember who loves ya, baby- I require postcards and Pix, whenever possible, as you know!

What a wonderful recap of dining extravaganza, Ellen! Hmmm, could you pour me a glass of that Chardonnay you're having - must be good!

I'm going to say that May 6th probably won't happen for me - so far Jim is wanting to skip doing "anything big" for next year and save money to help the kids with our 2013 family gathering at WDW. If my business suddenly soars, who knows? It could happen - I know it will be lots of crazy fun!

Breakfast-
I love the fruit already cut into sections (like grapefruit) and any of the sandwiches. Hopefully the REAL grapefruit cutter will please stand up on your cruise, he was missing on ours- but still nice to have the fruit.

Animators-
Ahi Tuna Tartare & the Veal Chop were our faves

Palo-
Get the Pomegranate Whosee Whatsis Martini- TDF! And please remember to order it JUST THAT WAY!!!!! Check, noting now.... "whosee whatsis martini"
ANY pizza- you MUST!!!!!!
Lobstah & Mascarpone Ravvies- another TDF, we got them in between other courses (as I believe I mentioned on page something or another.....)
Of COURSE, the chocolate souffle.... Is this the world famous "chocolate thing?"Don't get the gnocchi- if you want pillow light truly amazing gnocchi, you're gonna have to pay a visit north, and I will join you at PO in the west Village in NYC...their gnocchi makes you shun all others.... One of these days I WILL be up there!!!! Just so you can take me on a true yankee dining adventure!!!! And if you come down here I can get you some fried chicken, fried pork rinds, fat back, fried pickles, chicken fried steak, fried twinkies.... why, yes, we fry it all up in the south!!!!

Lumiere's- best menu, best night of rotational dining IMHO (and in Gabor's HO, too)
Escargot- order LOTS! if you like snails, why skimp? Have as many of those slimy critters as you can slide down your gullet, I say! They are garlic-a-licious!!! I love me some slimy snails!!!! I've even had em fried!!!!
Lamb Shank was VEEEEEEERRRRRRRY tender and yum....
Sea Bass- Pods LOVED this!

Pirate night-
I'm not gonna lie...not our favorite meal- but the crab cake is very good, and the macadamia nut mahi is totally yummy!! Is there a shank that night, too? Well, my dress isn't THAT skanky.... I mean, cmon Ellen, you don't have to resort to calling me names...... That might be good as well.

LOBSTAH night- aka- semi formal night and night of the hidden magical midnight buffet.
Well, my best advice is to order 2- to start. After hearing Jen's teeny tiny tale of tail I say- TAKE NO CHANCES!!! order 2 OR 3 from the start! Then order more!!! Our server said that her highest ever was 7 tails- TOP IT!!!! Nothing will make darling Ally (aka, TBP- The Beverly Pusher) more proud than to see Mom & Dad gourging themselves on FREE FOOD!!!!! If it involves embarassing my little TBP, I'm all over that...... I may just make it a little Cousin Eddie night and treat it as my own personal buffet.... wonder if I can get my lobster fried?????If you can get her outta that club long enough to see it happen....just sayin....

Wow...this Chardonnay I'm havin is pretty good....

Sesame Tuna Sashimi- now, I KNOW it's the last night, and it's FISH- RAW FREAKIN FISH....but settle down, it's all good! I make a LOT of tuna tartare, (as I'm sure you do too, Miss Kara aka Paula Dean)(aka, Miss Kara-there's-a-kitchen-in-this-house??????????)but, as I'm sure JEFF knows, alot of sushi grade fish is flash frozen, and that must have been the case here, because it was DEE-LISH-US!

I'll have you know that this house is the first house that actually HAS a kitchen, and I've actually used it!!!! Well, the fryer works great!!!

Lamb Loin- Pods had this, it was very good-

Room Service-

HAVE to get (as Jen Said) Mickey bars- OMG!!!!! They are FREE!!! Well, they are a tip (we make sure to have an envelope of singles for this purpose in a drawer for the cruise....but I'm sure you already know that, Miss Disney!) or...they are at dinner EVERY night- never mentioned, but if you ask, you shall receive......)
Tuna on Brioche (REALLY, REALLY yummy)

Steak Sammie- that's the sandwich that was too far for me. I couldn't eat a steak sandwich after a cheeseburger- can you imagine?????

Cheese Tray- Ok...I have never had the pleasure. On this cruise, I went on old info from our last cruise, and passed. BIG MISTAKE!!! I saw a pic the other day- I think it would be the purrrrrrr-fect thing for happy hour on the balcony!

I'm thinking this might be good with our carry on Boone's Farm, right before the Exotic Rasul....... oh, Barry????

Go to every fast food option on the pool deck- all good ( but not PIZZA! DUHHHHHH! not.... WINNING!)

OMG, Charlie Sheehan is SUCH a ...well, you know....

Cove Cafe- GET THAT FREAKIN CARD THE FIRST DAY!!!!!!!! WHAT CARD???????????Pastries are FREE (whether you get the card or not- but they make a mEAN buncha coffee drinks in that place, and don't MAKE me say, "I TOLD YOU SO" when you get off that ship one punch shy of a freebie)! Sleeping over ( I mean drinking coffee) is OPTIONALLLLLLLLL!!!!!

Love the little sammies at Goofy's Galley- and I hope you know I have a fond, fond affinity for a cheeseburger from Pluto's- you DID read this TR, right???

Well, that was SOME wine, huh???? When you said you were writing a love letter to my family, I had no idea. I was a little, er, wrapped up last night..... I will not only send you postcards, I will rub a little bit of Pluto's burger juice on it, just for you....... OK, I was gonna say "Pluto's juice" and that just sounded wrong..... and a little like my poor Buckeye's problem...... I'd better stop now before I get in trouble......

Yes I am nuts and everyone has vetoed me and my "day" trip to Orlando Something about me being a bit crazy.

I too am excited for the DISmom geek off. I think I may have to deffer to Ellen and Kara on all of the knowledge of the treat at Epcot. Kara it sounds like from your plan we will be doing a lot of traveling around the world (I SAW the ditch last time but I wasn't able to go in....silly kids were tired)

While in Atlanta, we are headed to the world of Coke....I plan to have my angels share the love of Beverly with my BIL...hee-hee

Okay, you are making me homesick and very hungry for a fish fry! The only good fish in the world, I think. Can't eat it from here - the water is too warm. Love, Love a Northern!!! Ummm, why do you have lutefisk and krumekke in the same sentence?

I say it because there is a small shop in South Minneapolis that has all of the treasures in it and yes all those smells are co-mingled. That is horrible that you can't have a good shore lunch. Having a craving for some beer batter fried blue gill sunny right now....drooool. I just don't want to go ice fishing to get some. I'll wait for warmer weather.

That Chardonnay (which I normally don't like) was SPECTACULAR!!! It was Ramey 2006 from Sonoma. OMG, it was a beautiful thing, that wine! So complex!

Sorry to hear May won't happen, but it sounds like you need to save points- what are your 2013 plans? We just invited Pods' younger bro (& family) to join us for 5 nights in Nov 2012- GV at Jambo. We're going to beg his Mom to come, too- I think she would love AKV, she really likes animals, and I doubt she has ever stayed in a hotel as nice as that in her life- it would be so special. Then our family will move to BWV or BCV for 4 nights.

And I have to say I agree with them- 8 hours each way just to eat a Mickey Bar seems just a tad over the edge....

I hate when the DHs wig out! Pods has been doing that too- although he was all for me going on DCL with girls...I think because he knows too well that if I don't go then, when it costs him for one person, it will cost him for four people instead!

i have to dig thru my pics to find any food porn of Minnesota fare. ...LOL the smells won't translate well. Krumkkake is awesome! It is a light and crispy ice cream cone shell like thing it is filled with whipped cream and lingonberries...aghhhhh I am droooling just thinking of it.

Kara is headed up here for a funeral this summer. I'm kidnapping her for a few days. I will see her next week when I am in GA as my sis is just an hour or so from her place.
