That's unfortunate as I really enjoyed this.

HBO renews 'Game of Thrones' for second season!
by James Hibberd

Winter is coming — back!
HBO has renewed its fantasy series Game of Thrones after airing only one episode. The show’s second season will likely debut next year and will be based on George R.R. Martin’s second book in his Song of Ice and Fire series, A Clash of Kings.
“We are delighted by the way David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have brought George R.R. Martin’s amazing book series to the screen, and thrilled by the support of the media and our viewers,” said Michael Lombardo, president of HBO. “This is the continuation of an exciting creative partnership.”
As previously reported, a Thrones renewal was likely even before the show premiered given HBO’s big investment in creating the world of Westeros and the potential back-end from international sales and DVD.
Sunday’s premiere ratings were fairly healthy too, with the drama delivering 4.2 million viewers across three airings.

Very good news. The ratings were substantially lower than Boardwalk Empire's premier. In order to get a S3, this series will have to stabilize fast.

This show is TOO SHORT!!! DH & I love it! I love how they've ended each show with the son. I wanted to kill the Lanistas when they tossed him out the window!

This week was great. I love Aria and felt bad for the wolf but was happy the older sister got it for not sticking up for Aria. I can't stand that little snowflake son of the Queen.

Great series!!!!

I felt the same way. I kept looking at the clock, thinking about how fast time seemed to be going! How are they ever going to get through that whole book in one season?

DH likes how they mention time. EX: the mom says for the last month she's prayed for her son.

I also like that they do that. At least you know things aren't just happening quickly. Next week looks good. I hope the blond girl gets her barbarian husband to kick her brother's butt. BTW, I think her hubby is hot in a very savage way, LOL.

My man, Sean Bean, is wonderful...as usual!

Love the show. It is dark and disturbing, but the type of thing you can't turn away from. I felt so bad for the butcher boy and the wolf.

Played by Jason Momoa who played Ronan on Stargate: Atlantis. His character was also a bit of a barbarian in that show as well. Barbarian with a kind soul. Google images for "Ronan Dex" you won't be disappointed.
