Owners Locker-what to store??
We have at last booked our next trip (February) and are really keen on the idea of signing up to Owners Locker. I know that some of you have had experience of using them in the past and just wondered if you had any suggestions on the items that are a "must" for storage for use in a Studio.
So far our thoughts are leaning towards: Mugs, cutlery (including sharp knife), plates, bowls, small electric kettle Flip Flops, Sunscreen/After Sun, medicines, scissors, travel adaptor Travel guide, road maps, sweatshirts, rain ponchos Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I know that somewhere along the line I am going to have a "Why didn't I think of that?" moment so picking the brains of you more experienced users will be a great help to us. Thanks |

Having just got back and left our lovely Owners locker packed to the brim - here are some of the things we left in it:
Shampoo and conditioners Sunscreen and aftersun Plastic plates and bowls Cutlery Bikinis Swimming shorts Washing bin (fabric that collapses flat) Beach towels Trading pins Refillable mugs First aid kit Pyrex washing sheets Ponchoes Buggy rain cover and cup holder Bacardi Nail scissors Apple airport express Various adapters Hairbrushes and combs Make up Purfume and aftershave And some other stuff - have updated our owner locker list yet - it is still a hand written scribble in my hand luggage!

Thanks for your list! A few things there that we hadn't thought about. Bacardi has now blasted into our top 10!!! You obviously like the service. Where do they leave the box? At Guest Services or straight to your Studio? Is it similar arrangements for departure? Our last week is in AKV so I would imagine it sensible to arrange drop off and collection for that week rather than any earlier. |

They leave it with bell services and you can collect it or have them deliver (remember to tip though!).
When you leave we just get bell services to pick it up with our luggage that they store for the day for us. Getting it at your last resort if it is empty is probably the best idea as it will be one less thing to move.

We keep clothes, toiletries, various US electrical things (adaptors, chargers, walkie talkies etc.,) first aid stuff, Ponchoes and basically tons of stuff that we only ever use in Florida. Having an OL has meant we've been able to make a few trips and just bring hand luggage

We also have a couple of light weight sleeping bags, easier than making the sofa bed for my two boys( and the don't fight over the duvet). A bottle of wine the thought of opening it gets me through the flight, and a kettle, can't live without tea.

Thanks Everyone
You have given us some really good ideas. Now keeping an eye open in almost every shop we go into "just in case" we see something that might come in handy. Roll on February!! |

A owners locker is a 'tote' that is stored for you by the ol company. It is very helpful for those that travel to disney many times during the year or those that travel overseas. Basically you fill it with items as previous ops have listed; you pay a yearly fee and you don't have to worry about packing those items. You can google owners lockers and get more info. Hope this helps somewhat.

We love our Owners Locker and just met the owner for the first time today. He just happened to be delivering our locker as we checked into OKW.
Our locker is stuffed to the brim and rather than repeat the entire list, I'll just give you a few things. Brita water pitcher/filter Every bathroom item imaginable: Toothpaste, toothbrushes, hair brushes, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, nail clippers, tweezers, etc. Large coffee mugs Pizza Cutter Crocs Hat |

My DW in years gone by has purchased hair straightners in the US which she keeps in he box, along with all the US adapters also US battery chargers are handy work far better than UK ones on adapters.
