Prepaid Gratuities

I see in a few DCL news stories that Disney is in the process of adding automatic prepaid gratuities to your onboard account. Apparently some ships already have this in place, but there is no word on when this will go live for the Dream.

They haven't yet decided what date this will begin on the Dream. How it works is if you haven't prepaid your gratuities prior to boarding, on the first day the recommended amount will be added to your shipboard account. At any time during the cruise you will be able to modiy the amount, pay cash instead, or increase the amount.

I'm guessing 6/29/12....to avoid the rant.

Prepare for your next cruise!

I know that most of us are busy with planning and packing for PCC 3.0 but I wanted to suggest that people also start looking further ahead - to your next cruise!!!!

If you book your next DCL cruise while on board PCC 3.0 you will get a discount (10% I believe) and a reduced deposit. If you are considering a future cruise its a good idea to book on board.

Its not even necessary for you to know the actual dates or decide on the itinerary of your next cruise since you can book a "dummy" cruise and have it moved later when you do decide.

Val & I are looking at some possibilities.

I probably should also have mentioned that you can designate a Travel Agent to get credit for this booking.

If past practice is any indication of future performance, Dreams will probably have a future cruise booking form in your cabin.

Packing? What is this you speak of? That is reserved for the night before.

Val has already started our packing...and we have 2 trips before then. Plus, once we get back its time to start packing for the west coast.

BTW, a cruise is the only vacation where its OK to overpack.

I have 2 baskets full of possible clothes and new clothes for the cruise in our hallway. I will really need to do something about that stuff very soon! The suitcases are in the dining room with another in our bedroom!

With this crazy weather here in MA, not sure what summery clothes we will need before the trip!

Booked the Discover Atlantis excursion today. Registered Izzie for the Kids Club!

Tried to book the bamboo massage but the only time available is 6pm and we have early seating for dinner. I'll keep checking. I was hoping for a morning time slot as I'm an early riser. I will probably get up most mornings and walk around the deck and visit the gym!
