This is the most ridiculous and most interesting debate I've had in a while. I love this show.
Ah yes, but remember that this man hung himself, therefore, the hanging was his first death. He left a note on the tree saying he had been bitten and had a fever, not that his legs had been eaten to the bone. I doubt he could have climbed that high up the tree with no muscle attached to his lower leg bones. I agree though, this is the most ridiculous debate I have had in a while. Lots of fun deciding if things could or could not be possible.

I want to know why, in the scene with Otis, his skin was stretching like chewed black gum.

I knew Otis was going to die when they got in the truck and he touched his leg and said something like "It's the only good one I have". My mother and I wondered if he had an artificial leg. I was hoping he would use it to fight off a zombie ot two in his final scene. I guess both legs were real.

he annoys me also....DH and my boys were like...why the heck not just shoot otis in the head...I know they were both down to only 1 bullet each so some one had to go....thats when the decision was made...as soon as Otis saif that he only had 1 bullet left Shanes whole face changed...he knew he had to get that stuff back to save the boys and he was the best one to do it....Otis was slowing him down....but again shoot him in the head instead of the leg...

All i can think of is that if he was dead other zombies may have still chased him why others stopped and fed....taking no chance with what they had learned about some zombies seeming smarter than others he took no chance.

Also Shave seemed to start loosing it a bit before that...but than again...who wouldn't right!

I think if they don't find the little girl alive they will find her as a zombie and her mom will freak out running to her daughter and her daughter will bite her...

I need the writers to give us a hint on what is going on and why....they have to give us something besides the same thing week after week.....for me if they keep doing that than i could miss a week and come back and watch the
snippet of the week before and not really miss anything....

Whats happening around the rest of the world....out of there state.....around the corner.....what about other life people.....are all the animals gone like dogs that could run away from the zombies....there are to many what ifs and what abouts.... I need more info....just a little will do.

by the way I am glad they killed the zombie in the tree...I was thinking if that was me and I left a note I would hope someone would not just leave me hanging like that....I felt sorry for that poor zombie guy

Id also like a time line...how long has it been since this started? how long have they been running from the zombies....weeks... months ...a year...? and why are these in all there travels the ONLY live people out of thousands that they have come across alive? there has to be many more but where are they?

Im sorry but more than like a total of 15 people have had to survive out of that huge city.....and around the areas....

as for the dogs...they can run faster than the zombies to get away....and if they are zombie dogs...where are they? I want to see a zombie dog

I'm like you, I spend a lot of time wondering about everything that doesn't get covered on the show. Someone earlier in this thread made a statement that fits well here, "The Walking Dead refers to the the living people not the walkers". The show centers around the relationships between the living, the zombies are just catalysts?

I think it has been a few months, which makes me ask this question. That sandwich Rick was eating. It looked too processed (slice too clean) to be homemade. Maybe they had the bread in a freezer, but food has to have seriously become scarce. Maybe this is part of the reason why, in the preview for next week, the veterinarian asks Rick and the others to leave as soon as possible.

Don't forget about the group of people taking care of the elders in the nursing home in Atlanta. They were the ones last season who held Glenn captive. There are probably many more hiding out, but they just need to leave the area. I am wondering what happened to the man and his young boy from Season 1 Episode 1.

Last week the question was asked (on the after show) about other animals becoming zombies and the official answer was no, so if this is true, we won't see any zombie dogs.

Funny, I thought the same thing about the bread. LOL

Also, getting back to the earlier conversation about this farm being zombie-free, I am picturing this farm-type fence - I have a hard time believing that would hold back the zombies but tall brick walls like some mansions have wouldn't. Therefore, I believe there should be mansions full of living people throughout the country. I would like to see the group stumble upon a mansion full of people holed up together.

And I still wanna know where all the stinkin' dogs are!

If they have a bread knife and have been making bread a long time, which they probably have been seeing as how they live on a farm, thy could make very uniform slices in homemade bread.
About the dogs, as seen in most disaster movies animals have a sense when there is a disaster and often run for the hills. This theory isn't totally supported by this show seeing as how we have seen other animals hunted on the show but it could explain the writers reasoning in omitting dogs and other animals.

Joining in the conversation....

I didn't watch the first season until we rented it a few months ago. DH and I were absolutely hooked after watching it all in one weekend.

This season - I'm a tad bit disappointed so far as it seems to be moving at a much slower pace. I understand character development but we feel its dragging quite a bit.

There are two threads about this show going on right now. Oh, well.
That explains why I saw a WD thread (this one) on page one, but didn't get an e-mail notification. Guess I'll join this one too so I don't miss anything

That theory does make sense now that you say it - dogs are pretty smart - no way they're sticking around zombieville!
