Bingo Question

This was my first time playing Bingo on the ship and I was amazed how fun they made it.

Does anyone know what the story is behind the song and dance when they call B11?

I have wondered about that also. I love the Bingo onboard.

Is there any Bingo on board that you can get free cards for, or do you always have to buy the cards? How much is it per card? Thanks!

We paid $60.00 last month. Crazy....but true. I believe there were some cheaper packages however; none were really "cheap".

There wasn't any free bingo when we played but they have bingo where they play for pins and during ours they were giving away memorbilia like movie posters and Jo Bro lanyards, and spa gift certificates along with cash prizes. Electronic bingo can range from $60-90 dollars. (I believe the final session on our 4 night was the most expensive)You can also purchase different packages and paper punch bingo cards instead of electronic. I think the little dances and music they do when certain numbers come up is just to make it more fun.

11 in Spanish is pronounced Ohn-say. So, in spanish, it would sound like "B-ohn-say" = Beyonce, the singer. Thus, the song.

Be Careful

Went with the family on our first cruise, 2000 Xmas and took the kids & spouses to bingo every day, it was fun but when I got my cabin statement the bingo charges were over $1,500!!! No more bingo

The earlier you play during the cruise the cheaper it is.

The cheapest I saw was $30 for a 6 paper cards. If you opt for electronic bingo, the prices are more than doubled but your chances are increased significantly (24 or 48 cards).

Hello,

Not to hijack the thread, but was wondering, for those who have played recently, do they play with those ink dawbers (sp?) for the paper cards. If so, do they supply those? (I am assuming for a fee)

Also, was bingo held more than 1 time a day, and did you see that it seemed to be the same time everyday?

TIA

The paper bingo cards are "poke & fold" - no dabbers required.

I also took video of the dance as well - I will post a link as soon as I have a post count greater than 10.

You can earn free cards, but you still have to pay b/c they are usually drawings during the game or there might be a code word or phrase for the next session.

The paper cards don't work that way. They are the poke and fold variety. You get a pack of four, each a different color for the different rounds and you just poke and fold. Don't tear or the card is voided.

On sea days they usually hold a morning and afternoon session of bingo and on port days they usually squeeze it in in between the two dinner seatings about 7:45.
