Conflicting info - help!

Hi,

I'm staying CL at the CR next August. I contacted IPO using the email address on the first page of the thread and had no trouble. They sent me the form to fill out - but I just noticed that the email and phone number they have on the form for me to send it back to are different than the ones listed here (although the fax number is the same). Does anyone know why there is a difference or which one I should use? Thanks for your help.

Boardwalk Inn December 2010 review

Hey everyone,
Just like my WDW trip this past August once again I am writting my Boardwalk Inn trip report in Dalton, Georgia at a Hampton Inn and tomorrow night I am staying in Lima, Ohio. So I will be home on Christmas Day.

Boardwalk Inn
First things first I want to thank the Innkeeper's Club Cast Members for making our 2nd stay there even better then our 1st time. JJ, Lorenzo, Jackie, Tiffany, Jackie, Anita, Janice and everyone are all amazing and the best Cast Members WDW can ever ask for.

After we arrived and took the elevator to the 4th floor we were greater by JJ who is a fellow Canadian from Montreal, so what a nice surprise to see him. He had heard over the radio we just arrived and he ran over there to meet us.

Since we had a reservation for a Standard Club Level Room getting a Boardwalk View needed to be requested, well we were told that our room was going to be 4223 and it turned out to be one of the few Standard Club Level Rooms with a Boardwalk View. Now part of it was a bit blocked by the roof of the Boardwalk Bakery, however that wasn't an issue at all. However the room was very close to the lounge and that was a bounus.

After that when I had opened the fridge I noticed cans of Sprite Zero and it turns out that JJ had got them for my Mom since they are not available in the lounge, plus this time we did not request them. The thing we found great about that is how JJ remembered that my Mom liked to drink it, so that right there is great service.

Theme Parks
The Magic Kingdom I went once, Epcot and Hollywood Studios I went to twice and once I went to the Animal Kingdom. The week before Christmas the crowds were ok however we always went for AM Extra Magic Hour or right before the regular park opening, so that helped with any lines for the attractions.

Dining
The various dining locations we went was the Kona Island Sushi Bar, Beaches & Cream (didn't have to wait at all for a table there) two times at Earl of Sandwich, Gasparilla's Grill & Games, three times to the ESPN Club to watch the Maple Leafs play, Boardwalk Bakery, Boardwalk To Go, Boardwalk Pizza Window and we took out from the Contempo Cafe since the night we went it was very cold on the 4th floor.

Transportation
Going to the Magic Kingdom we took the bus and we had just missed it, however another came 5 minutes later so we had no issues with the Boardwalk buses when it came to that. I used the walkway both times to Epcot, took the boat and also walked to Hollywood Studios and we took our car over to the Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney.

Our next trip to WDW
As of right now we have a room only reservation from August 8th - August 22nd at the Boardwalk Inn for another Standard Club Level Room. Since there were no room only discounts yet for August 2011, however we wanted something confirmed just to have it. So I will keep a look out for Annual Pass rates or any future promotions.

Finally once I am home I have 59 pictures of the Boardwalk which I will be posting for you all to see.

Glad to hear you had another amazing trip and are safely on your way home! I really want to stay at the BWI and your review makes me want to stay even more! My son is adament that we are staying at the BC for our upcoming week in FEB, but you can rest assured that I will be booking the BWI to try on my next trip.....which, after this one, will sadly be in another 5yrs. for my 25th wedding anniversary!! (sad, only for the long wait until another trip!)

I think BWI will be the perfect place to enjoy an anniversary, adult-only trip!
Thanks for the review and I am happy to hear you had a wonderful time!

We checked-in today at the WL's Old Faithful Club. This is our first OFC stay and so far, we are very impressed with the cleanliness and attentive concierge service and lounge staff. I think we have a new favorite CL.

I'll post some photos soon.

I'm still at the WL/OFC if anyone has any questions.

So I am reading, but wanted to get a head start on POLY CL. Laggon view, Garden view, or the view of the park.
CR, the tower view or Garden view.
I am looking to doing Oct for MNSSHP, so I will have time to save. I plan on laying down the hefty deposit some time at the end of Feb(hopeing for a deal) so I will have time to decide on wich resort to stay. Right now I am going back fourth day to day with the two.

Recently returned from Polynesian, stayed club level, and to say I was not impressed was a vast understatement. See the Polynesian FAQ thread for my full review (including club level services), but suffice to say, I'd say pay for the view at whatever hotel you want (in my opinion, not the Polynesian) buy a six-pack of beer or soda and skip club level. Just not worth it.

I would go with the Contemporary because they are the only resort where you can walk to and from the Magic Kingdom. Plus I also think they have better rooms then the Polynesian.

WOW!, I would not of thought so,regarding the Poly CL. I would thought with CR looking so modren and the Poly haveing the Beautfull landscapeing and interior(at least in and around the lobby) I would of thought poly would be hands down more nicer. This Is why this Is such a great place to share ideas.

I would also choose Contemporary over Polynesian. Like CR Resort Fan 4 Life said, I far prefer Contemporary's beautiful rooms, and the location is more convenient IMO (the 5-10 minute walk to MK is a really nice alternative to the monorail). Plus I like the evening offerings in CR's lounge better than Poly's (and while Poly's breakfast used to have better choices, even that has been cut down).

Poly does have its advantages (mainly the exterior theming), but I wouldn't stay there just for that. The service and upkeep seem below par to me, which is really sad to say (as you can see by my sig, there was a long period of time when we couldn't get enough of the Poly).

I've done 2 trip to the Poly CL and yes it's beautiful, love the lounge with it wall of windows overlooking the MK. I actually liked AKL CL food offerings much better. I have no complaints about the Poly though, and our CL stays have been wonderful.

This past September we stayed at Sugarloaf Building at the GF. It is my favorite so far. Everything about this stay was perfect. Our rooms were very nice, the staff was wonderful, the food offering were the best we've had so far.

We will be trying BWI CL this May. I'm looking forward to our stay here, I love the Boardwalk.

I've stayed at the Poly twice...first time was GV CL, and the second time we got theme park view (no CL). I would definitely skip the CL and pay the extra for the TPV! I ordered some items from garden grocer and they delivered it to our room before we even arrived and had everything we needed...and an amazing view. If you're going to stay at the Poly, CL or not, you have to see the castle from your room...there is nothing like it in the world! Good luck with your decision!

Ok so I have to ask so I don't look silly when we get there. We are staying at BC. this will be our first Club Level stay. I booked it because we are arriving 3 days before our planned 2 week vacation w/ family. We won't have passes or our dinning plan until we check into our other reservation. Will they stock our fridge for us or can we take drinks from the lounge and bring them back to our room? Can we also take food back to our room? We have 2 babies so it may not be easy for us all to go to the lounge. Is there anything else I should know or due while there? TIA only 56 more days!!!
