We had room 1557 deluxe club room and loved it. It was seconds to the quiet pool and it seemed like one minute to EPCOT!
We returned the other day from staying in deluxe room 3557. It does not have a full balcony at all, but has two standing balconies instead. One overlooked Crescent Lake (gorgeous) and the other the quiet pool. 4557 above us did appear to have a full-size dormer balcony though. 2557 below us had a larger than average balcony but it *seemed* to all (or mostly) be on the quiet pool side of the building. I will see if I can confirm that in my pics. There was also a sizable bush just below our balcony and I wondered if 2557 had any view obstruction as a result.

I will be posting pics of room 3557 in the BC pic thread when I get a chance, if anyone is interested. It was a wonderful room even without the full balcony (of course, it was freezing while we were there so we wouldn't have gotten full enjoyment from it anyway!).

I have been trying to decide whether to post about our BC CL experience. Suffice it to say, we were not impressed (to put it mildly) with the staff and the behavior of other guests (the stuff we witnessed shocked us, to be honest). We were so looking forward to it too.

Well I suppose we'll have to make the best of it, but your post has me concerned about our trip which begins Saturday. We are traveling with another family who has never been to WDW and never stayed CL. I am sure they would not have stayed CL if we hadn't already booked it for ourselves. I hope they enjoy the experience.

My expereince with the BC IPO has improved this week. They have been great about responding to requests for Lactaid milk in the lounge and today they are going out and buying my son a Santa Mickey Hat. They offered (and we accepted) the idea of getting his name embroidered on it.

west&east, please do not let my experience think yours will be similar. I think our biggest issue was with one particular staff member who was extremely unprofessional with me at check in. And, if it helps any, I would book a deluxe room in a heartbeat if I got a discount, but I likely wouldn't bother with the lounge.

As far as the other guests go, well, you might have a better experience with a different group of guests. Mostly it was people who wouldn't control their children. We saw: kids using the sofa as a trampoline on two separate occasions, another kid walking around with one of the throw pillows in his mouth, MUCH picking up of baked goods and putting it back, yet another kid fingering all the buffet plates - she seemed to be trying to hand them out to people, an adult sneezing on the food - no attempt to even turn his head. There just didn't seem to be many common sense manners. I hope you experience NONE of this and have a great trip!

Hi Jennifer! Thanks for your comments. I am sorry you didn't have a positive check in experience. That is one of the small ways that should make staying CL special. We always make the best of it even when we experience the negative aspects. I definitely understand what you are saying about kids behavior in the lounge. I have seen that type of thing in many settings. Just yesterday, I was helping to serve the breakfast type snacks at DS's 2nd grade class party. Maybe these are just my pet peeves, but I was irritated at the kids piling food on their plates that I knew they wouldn't eat. I started directing the kids to take half a bagel but many said, no I want a whole one. I HOPE my kids don't behave this way when I am not around. I KNOW they won't behave that way when DH and I are present.

I was wondering where the club level rooms were located at the BC? Are they near the lounge or is there a good amount of walking to get to it? Thanks

All the standard and lagoon view CL rooms are on the 5th floor as is the lounge. The deluxe club rooms are on floors 1 through 4 and can be a pretty good walk from the lounge - too far to just pop into the lounge any time we felt like it, so, when we stayed in a deluxe room last week, we went up there just twice a day at breakfast time and (the all important, LOL) wine hour.

Need IPO email address for BC

Can anyone help me with the email address for BC IPO??? I have tried to use the one at the start of the info thread and it fails constantly. Our trip is only a few weeks away (Jan 20th) and we have dietary needs for the lounge.

Thanks in advance.

I've been in fairly recent contact with them. The address I used and it had never failed is:

Yacht.Beach.Club.Itinerary.Planning@disneyworld.co m

Hope that helps

We just returned from a BC CL stay, and LOVED it! We have always stayed at the Poly in the past, but I am so glad we decided to give it a try. We had a wonderful stay, and can't wait to return.

I haven't been here in quite a while, but we are leaving Wednesday for the Grand where we will be staying in Sugar Loaf. I'm hoping someone has experience or knowledge about what I'm going to ask.

My 13 year old son has a friend who is in the hospital now undergoing chemotherapy for severe aplastic anemia. The preferred treatment for this condition is bone marrow transplantation, but his sister is not a match, so they're doing the drug regimine. He is very, very sick and will be hospitalized for several more weeks.

Disney comes into play because the family was supposed to be in WDW for Xmas, but when he was diagnosed earlier this month, they had to cancel the trip. He has already been approached about Make-a-wish, so he might end up at WDW with them, though that won't be for several months because he's simply too sick to go anywhere now.

Which brings me to my next question. I wonder, do you think I could ask the concierge CMs in Sugar Loaf if they could send him a card or something from Mickey? Of course, we can send him a postcard, but I worry that this would upset him as it'll remind him that he's not there while his friend from school is, but I was thinking that if the message came straight from Disney, it might cheer him up. I'm not asking for stuff--just a message, but if that's beyond their realm of possibilities, I won't even ask.

Thanks!

Wilderness Lodge CL

Just returned from a 4-night stay at the Wilderness lodge club level. Room 7116, woods view room over looking the villas, very quiet room.

Club staff were great as we arrived the day of the computer system upgrade, there were some issues that they had to deal with. They were knowledgeable and all were aware of our requests and details of our reservations.

Snacks and breakfast were good; they did have a different appetizer out every night we were there. Duck pot stickers and venison rolls, scallops wrapped in bacon and curry beef, a spicy pepper soup and chicken on a stick.
The lounge was always clean, and items always being replenished.

Breakfast was the same every day; wish there was some variety in what was offered. The days we were there they had chocolate and berry mini muffins and mini cinnamon rolls. There was also mini bagels, 4 types of cereal, and fresh fruit.

Consumed far too many chocolate chip cookies from the lounge!

Just got in this morning, pictures to come.

We just returned from a 10 night stay at CL in the Contemporary (12th floor). We have stayed in the CR many times but this was our first experience at CL for any WDW resort.

Overall it was great, but for us not that much more than what we usually experience at the CR. It was nice having CMs so readily available to help with any detail we needed help with. The lounge was nice. Hmm...I guess for us the bottom line is that when we get a big discount like the ones that were offered for bounce-back last year then staying at CL is worth it. When there are not big room discounts available then I doubt we will do it again. For us there just is not a big enough difference in the quality of our stays to warrant a full price upgrade. I tend to make all of our plans (its part of the fun ) and only asked them to make one reservation for us while we were there (and I only did that just because they were there and we were paying for such services...I wouldn't have minded doing it myself otherwise). The lounge offerings did come in handy especially for a quick bite before hitting the parks.

We did notice a few minor annoyances. It would have been nice to have been greeted in the lobby and escorted up to our room as they assured me when I asked in e-mail correspondence before our trip. After some back and forth among bell services CMs as to what to do with us when we arrived one decided to escort us up to the 12th floor. When we arrived apparently only one CM was working at the moment and was in the middle of setting out the evening offerings in the lounge. She was rather busy and not terribly excited about seeing the additional duty of checking us in.

I also got the impression that there were a few folks who figured out how to get up to CL and take advantage of the lounge offerings from other floors.

Nothing big though...it was a great trip.
