[QUOTE=CR Resort Fan 4 Life;39042462]Last night my Dad was telling me that the Boardwalk should change their room categories and they should add the Boardwalk View onto their Standard Club Level Rooms, so this way it doesn't need to be requested. So does anyone actually see them doing that in the future or is it not possible? I know that's already a booking category for their non Club Level rooms and the fact the Boardwalk View already comes with their Deluxe Rooms, so anyone who wants the view could just reserve that specifc room. Anyway what are your opinions about that?[/QUOTE

I agree that Standard Club Level Boardwalk View should be its own category. I enjoy the Standard Club Level rooms, with the garden view---BUT that view is no comparison to the boardwalk view. I would definitely pay more to guarantee I had that boardwalk view. Right now, the only way to 100% guarantee that is to book the deluxe club level, and one doesn't always need the extra room.

I am happy that we got a reservation for the Standard Club Level Room at the Boardwalk for next month, since we had a hard time getting Club Level for any dates with the Bounceback rate. However had the Deluxe Room became available with the Fall/Winter Room Only rate or the Annual Pass rates, we would have switched to that in a second to get the Boardwalk View and I looked everyday and it was not available. Now we did request the Boardwalk View and if we get it great, however if we don't then I won't be disappointed because it's most important being back at Walt Disney World and the Boardwalk for our vacation.

Honestly we had no issues of noise with people walking around and etc. Now when the boats honk their horns you will hear them, although those weren't bad. Finally each morning we would hear this noise that sounded like a squeaking sound and we were not sure where it was coming from, so I can't say anything else about it.

I have only heard noise one time, and it was this latest trip. Around 4:30 in the morning, I heard the sound of a cart rolling outside. Many nights spent in BW view rooms, and this was the first time I have heard outside noise.

Hmmm.....I never considered putting a BW view request. The only request I had was to be as far away from ESPN as possible! Wondering if I should request a BW view or simply wait and see what the room assigner picks for us?

Beach Club IPO

We arrive at BC CL on 12/18. I have communicated a bit with the IPO about some ADRs but otherwise never received any type of welcome email or letter. Yesterday, I emailed them and politely told them that I hadn't received any intro letter about the BC or CL services. Today I got a very brief email with the club level hours. This seems different then the communication I received the past couple of years from AKL and WL IPOs. Has the level of service changed, am I expecting too much?

We had wonderful interaction with the BC IPO. Mainly because we had to move our trip two weeks forward after DD broke her leg last year.

We had already stayed at BC CL so we didn't need any information on BC, but they were so helpful rearranging ADRs, having gift baskets made up and lots of special "little things".

Not sure what information you need, but check the BC/YC thread as there is a ton of information about BC there!

Thanks Disney Mom. It isn't really that I need info, I do read the BC/YC thread regularly, etc., but it just feels less personal for some reason than my other trips. I don't mean to sound entitled but I feel like I never got a real "welcome, we're glad you are heading our way, how can we help"

I know what you mean, as I was somehow "overlooked" once. Last couple of BWI trips, though, I have been inundated with IPO welcoming emails. This time, I guess you were the one overlooked.

If you look through the thread, you'll note you are not the only one that has felt the IPO to be a bit less personal this go 'round. I've been assured that the resort CL-CMs are not the same people and that all will be well.....

Where are the hot food items at the Boardwalk coming from while Kouzzina is closed?

I guess I can find out the answer to this very soon when I am there but does anyone know where if hot food items in the Boardwalk Innkeeper's Club lounge is coming from the ESPN Club, Flying Fish Cafe or Big River Grill & Brewing Works, while Kouzzina is being renovated?

I thought I had read some where Flying Fish but I can't remember where or if it was a "fact" or speculation. Flying Fish would be awesome! But actually any of the other choices would be good too.
