Resale?
Hi!
We are looking into buying into the DVC . . . I keep reading about buying resale points - can anyone tell me where i do that? Is it a matter of finding someone online who is selling, or do you go through Disney? Thanks!

There are a couple of companys who deal with resale. One of them is a sponser of this site and like post above has said follow thier link. There is also another company *************** who I use recently for our add on. Both companies have very good feedback.

There are two ways to check out a US timeshare reseller beyond recommendations on the DIS.
Better Business Bureau (BBB) is one. You can check on the local or national database on this site. Look for the broker being a BBB Accredited Business as well as reviewing their record. Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation is the other. Each state has an equivalent organization. Here you can verify the real estate broker's license and determine if there are any complaints against that license. We have used The Timeshare Store for several purchases and sales with excellent results. We have also bought directly from Disney. Working through a licensed broker with a clean license and good BBB record is the safest way to buy outside of Disney. One can deal directly with a member who wants to sell. And that is fine. But if you do consider using a closing company to process the transaction. One such company is Timeshare Closing Services.
