OMG!! I hadn't seen the international trailer yet ~ thank you SO MUCH!! We never go to the movies anymore, but I can hardly WAIT for this. LES MIS (along with PHANTOM...) is the music of my generation.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I am more exited for this movie than The Hobbit. I just hope it's better than the 1998 non-musical version with Claire Danes.

WooHoo!!! I get to see an advanced screening of Les Mis on Black Friday!!!
A friend on mine is on the SAG Awards Nominating Committee and she has invited me to several screenings of various films. One of them is Les Mis!

I'll report in after I've seen it. I'll have to buy an extra box of Kleenex to make it through the movie. I've seen the Broadway show 3 or 4 times. Cried each time. I can't wait!

SOOOOOOOOO jealous!!!

When you report, can you give just general comments - no major spoilers?

All of us hard-core Les Miz fans know the plot and the songs of course, but we are still looking to exeperience the movie as fresh as possible.

I'm VERY jealous, but looking forward to your review! I know what you mean about the Kleenex. I get choked up when the commercials come on TV!

Sure thing! I know what you mean where someone says to look for such & such a moment, then when it happens, because you were kind of waiting for it, it doesn't affect you ad much as it would have if you were just allowed to watch it spontaneously.

Are you going to go to one of the Candlelight Processionals? I'm going to be jealous right back if you are!

Nice!!!! Definitely bring back a full report!

Between all of us, I'm starting to think we're going to have rate this on how many boxes of tissues we all go through.

Also, the pre-order for the soundtrack is up, it's coming out 12/25. It's just a single disc, so I'm guessing this is a highlights version? There will probably be a 2-disc version as well (I hope!). Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...g=filmusrep-20

Should we say a four tissue box movie is the ultimate? Or do movies get 5 stars,so we should do 5 tissue boxes too?

Definitely!

I remember seeing the show on a school field trip, and the girls in our group were bawling for most of Act 2 (over Eponine, of course!), and they were still going when the show ended. One of my friends stopped to throw her tissues away and just started laughing...the whole garbage can was filled with tissues!

It's on 49th, between 7th and Broadway. It's a block up from Book of Mormon/Chicago.
