Margaritaville

Hello.. My family is booked for a western Fantasy cruise in July, we are going to book the Cozumel beach break and would also like to stop by Margaritaville for a quick drink and to pick up some T-shirts, is this possible and if so how do we arrange for a ride to Margaritaville from the beach?

In Cozumel you will be dropped off at an open air mall across the street from the cruise pier when you return from the beach. Just walk to Margaritaville from there.

We went there in January. If you dock where the Magic docks, you can actually see it from the boat. You can easily walk there. They have a bunch of water toys you can use there for free and also life jackets you can use. My 11 year old and husband went out on them for a while. I'll see if I can post some pictures of it. All the wait staff there is very very friendly. It was actually more fun than what I thought it was going to be. Right when we got off the boat people were handing out drink coupons for Margaritaville too- buy one get one free so we used those too. Have a great cruise!

What's strange is that this Mexican operation is not listed on the official Margaritaville website: http://www.margaritaville.com/destinations.html

On Cozumel I vote for Pancho's Back Yard...Great authentic mexican food with adjacent gift shop....Great margaritas too...Just ask any cab driver and they will know how to get you there...not too far from the pier either. Check out their website...You don't have to go to Cozumel for Margaritaville..you can find those in the states...

I vote for this one ^^^^^^

Went there with DD4 in GC and had a blast - nice waterslide and pool & hot tub. It had mostly DCL clientele there as well. Planned on going to the one in Cozumel as well to use the free water park, but decided against it.....

JMHO.

We go to Carlos & Charlies..

In fact it's a running joke that when we cruise to Cozumel we always say the ship is stopping at Carlos & Charlies. We've been to Cozumel so often that we make a beeline for the place, have a few margaritas and some great nachos.

Interesting....DH is a ParrotHead. I'll ask later if he knows.

ETA: He thought it opened about 5 years ago. A google shows archived news on Buffett's site from May 2007 as the Cozumel location open. Couldn't find anything else. Curious.

There is a Margaritaville at Universal Citywalk in Orlando.

Beware of any drinks in Mexico made with ice, possibily made from local water.

I've had friends eat at both places. They filter the water so it is fine. They do not want that name associated with any issues

I saw that too while researching but that's not an official site of Buffet, it's a fan site.
