Furball Medicine for cats(question)?

just for reference, i have 3 cats.

one of them LOVES to groom and lick herself...and the other two cats. A LOT. i have no idea why, but she loves doing it.

however she tends to get a lot of furballs, because of it.

i give her furball medicine once a week, but i'm wondering if i should give it to her more often? i'm not sure if it would affect her in a bad way(stomach problems, etc).

she's not hacking up furballs weekly or anything, but she does get them more than the other two cats and i give all 3 of them the medicine once a week.

thanks in advance!

Do you have a Furminator you are using on all three cats?

It has close to 4000 positive Amazon reviews. This brush is no gimmick.

http://www.amazon.com/FURminator
Click on the Medium button if you want one for a cat. (Color of brush does not matter.)

Here is the original Furminator thread on the DIS of people's reviews of it here:

Here's one of many Youtube videos of people brushing their pets and it looks like shearing sheep! (Only there is still hair on the dog. )YouTube Furminator

Here is a cat being Furminatedon Youtube, (for equal time ) It really doesn't hurt the cat.

I got the medium size for my cat, so I wouldn't have to take so many swipes over her as I would if I had gotten a small brush. I have used it on her for four shedding seasons, and there are no more dust bunnies or hairball problems!

I use Laxatone, recommended by my vet, for my kitty. It is a lubricant so you can't over give them it if they are having a bad week.
She gets some in the morning and some before bed. Haven't had hairball issues since.
