It's a Christmas (in July) Miracle! The Cubs won three games in a row for the very first time this season!!

(that it happened)

(that it's the end of July when it finally did)

Even our Christmas tree wears hats!

The annual picture with the little wooden reindeer at grandma's house!

my parents have that same exact reindeer they use it for the small presents at christmas time.

Oh it was nerve wracking. Thought we had it - then they tied it up, we started off an inning getting runners on......and leaving them there.

We were ready to head to the bus at that point. In the final inning once we got the guy to third we headed down closer to the exit and took off once he scored.

One thing I realized about last week's game that I didn't notice until 1/2 way through yesterday's game was that it was very quiet last week. No chanting, the organ player didn't do much.....just the sound of disappointment.

My mom has had that either since Sean was born, or possibly a little before. Every year the boys have a "photo" shoot with the reindeer. I need to get ahold of mom's pictures and scan in all the years to see how much that deer has shrunk over the years.
