Yes they do. They stay everywhere but you'll mostly see them at the value resorts (usually not AOA because they put them up in regular rooms and AOA is mostly suites).

When do the groups usually start vacationing at disney? I know we encountered a lot of groups during late July but what about early July? We will be there July 6-11 and while I know crowds are going to be heavy during that time the tour groups are tough to deal with! The group stays together which makes sense but it can be tough when you are trying to get on splash mountain and 30 people are sitting on the steps eating lunch .

Usually the full month if July, however with the World Cup in Brazil this year, it might mean lesser crowds at wdw .

I personally don't think The World Cup is going to have any effect at all on July South American Tour Groups.

1)The World Cup ends on July 13
2)A LARGE number of the SATGs are actually from Argentina as well as smaller numbers form Ecuador,Mexico, etc.
3)I don't think these 15 year old girls are going to give up ther "once in a lifetime" trip to NYC/WDW/Miami to stay home for The World Cup-it is a HUGE thing for them to take the USA trip!

Now,if Brazil is in the Finals July 13,the BTGs will be "fun" to watch that Sunday at WDW!lol

Have also seen large groups of teenage girls from Mexico on quinceanera trips (at least that is what it said on their backpacks)

you underestimate the appeal of Futebol in south America.
I lived in Brazil for 4 years (Alphavilla; Sau Paulo Sp. home of the Corinths) and every weds the stadium was filled -- and there was more energy coming from that Stadium than I had experienced at a Super bowl , or a World Series event ---

my Nephew - who is 10 -- turned down a trip to Disney this year because he is playing a local Soccer league and if his team makes it to finals it will happen during our trip --

My wife (who is Brazilian) is taking time off work to watch the games. it is HUGE.

Oh,They will DEFINITELY be watching The World Cup!

I just think that these 15 year old girls will be watching it from The Walt Disney World Resort JUly 1-13!

Also,I don't think there is any way the HUGE number of Argentinian Tour Groups are going to stay home in July to attend The World Cup in BRAZIL.

The Brazilian girls can always attend a Match in June and even if EVERYONE of the thousands and thousands of 15 year olds were to stay home through July 13,that still leaves 18 July days.

This is a trip they look forward to for YEARS and YEARS!

The World Cup final is July 13, same day my family checks in at POP , hoping that many btg stay in Brazil and only come after the finals. Actually I am hoping we miss them all together.

I was in the MK once the day that Brazil won a World Cup , there were hordes of loud btg chanting Brazil, Brazil at the top of there lungs!!! It was actually kind of scary!!!!!!
