DIS Meet - Opening Weekend of Food & Wine
Hi Everyone,
I thought it would be a good idea to start a new thread for those of us who are going to be at Walt Disney World the opening weekend of the Food & Wine Festival. It seems like a good number of DISers will be around that weekend for the Wine & Dine racesand taking in the festivities at EPCOT. This invitation is open to anyone so please feel free to join us. We'd love to meet you or see you again.  There are a lot of activities planned for the weekend of October 1st. On Saturday, October 2nd several DISers will be racing in the Halloween 5k, the Wine & Dine half marathon relay, and half marathon race, and attending the EPCOT Wine & Dine race party later in the evening. Since the party lasts until 4:00AM many DISers will be sleeping in on Sunday morning. Then, Sunday night is the Halloween party at the Magic Kingdom which several racers will be attending. It is a busy weekend. It appears many DISers will be leaving on Monday, October 4th. Considering the schedule of events, time commitments, and event locations it seems the best time to meet will be on Sunday, October 3rd at 1:00PM. This will give the racers and Wine & Dine party goers the chance to sleep-in on Sunday Morning. Additionally, we won't interfere with racers who wish to go to the Halloween party on Sunday night (admission to the MK starts at 4:00PM). Since EPCOT will be very busy with locals and tourists taking part in the Food & Wine Festival we should probably avoid meeting in EPCOT. Since some DISers may not want to use a park admission we should probably meet outside the theme parks. With the Halloween party at the Magic Kingdom meeting nearby makes sense. It will be convenient for several DISers who are attending the party that evening. First, thanks for doing this. Count me, Jill....there may be a DH or a child or two in tow, but I may put the grandparents to work for that time frame

I would have loved to make the meet however I will be at epcot that day with all the locals and tourists
 Is it really going to be that bad at Epcot that day now I'm scared..
