Christmas Shopping at WDW

We are going to WDW end of Nov. to early Dec. I don't want to return to reality and jump right into Christmas shopping. I find it very stressful and it ruins my holiday spirit. Don't get me wrong -- I LOVE giving that perfect gift to a person, but the running around and freaking out that I go thru every year is for the birds!! Plus I'm playing Santa to three little kids so I'm already shopped out by the time I get to my family.

I have a total of ten people to shop for -- MIL, FIL, SIL, BIL, Aunt, Uncle, Cousin, Mom, Dad, and Sister. What can I get at WDW that is easy for me to buy logistically but still special for each person? I'm thinking something along the lines of a nice sweater/sweatshirt/hat I can have monogrammed. Every one of these people love WDW, and I'm hoping they would like to have a little piece of it for Christmas. I usually spend $40/person.

What do you think of this idea? Is it dumb? Lazy? Is there anything really special I can get all of them from WDW at Christmastime that won't kill my vacation?

Just curious, do these people visit WDW? If so what about a Disney gift card that they could use on their next trip. Also, there are snow globes or perhaps charms for bracelets if they have one. Also, what about a music CD from the parks.

How about a stop at the Christmas store in DTD. You can have a beautiful glass orniment hand-painted for each person on your list. Even better....once finished they will SHIP IT ALL HOME for you. I did this one year and everyone loved the idea. Even better, they will think of you each year they decorate their trees.

If you have an older person who no longer decorates trees, include a little stand. They can put your ornament on the table as an easy decoration.

Stop in eary in the day. I have seen some pretty impressive lines in this store!

I did not know there was a Xmas store at DTD, and I think we have some time to kill that day, too -- so thanks for that! Maybe an ornament and a hat per person or something like! Hopefully DH likes my plan...

On that note - the person taking care of our house/mother in law while we are gone collects Disney Snowglobes.

Is there a great place to get them at WDW or should I just keep my eyes peeled?

Also thanks for the heads up about the Christmas shop at DTD. I would love to get our DD an ornament there.

I love to Christmas shop in Disney and my favorite place by far for this is EPCOT. There are a ton of non-Disney items there because (gasp! ) not everyone is a fan. I have found great jewelry in Norway & Italy plus all the fun Christmas items in Germany.

For the women on your list - pick a pearl in Japan....then, get it set. Maybe even a "Disney" setting. Then, the whole gift purchase is fun.

I also like the idea of browsing around Epcot's World Showcase. You could have fun with it...for instance, for each family - you could get them something from the different countries....(In-laws - MIL - Japan, SIL - China, BIL - Mexico, FIL - Germany, etc.)

Happy Shopping!
