It's been years since I saved a parking ticket stub! Now I'm tempted to pull out my Disney World box of saved ticket stubs, maps, receipts, etc and see if I can find an old one to look at. Of course they've probably changed since I last would have kept one. Hmmmmm......I'll research this some more and let you know what I find!
It's funny this is something I should have laying around, last time I used parking was in 2008, I think parking was $12 (have no clue what it is now), That trip we moved the van from park to park

We do have a few Commandos that live near WDW that would use parking that might have one

I'm really curious on the answer to this since I'm always looking to shave some time to put it to better use

Didn't know they actually gave out recipts anymore for paying for parking. We usually either stay on-site or have an AP, so never get anything. come to think of it, I never see anything hanging off the rear-view mirrors or on the dash boards of cars we're walking by anymore verifying they have paid for parking.

Ok, so I was getting no where searching the WDW site and the internet in general about this so I started a thread in the Transportation forum asking about it. There's only a couple of replies as of when I'm posting this but they are very helpful replies!

Here's the link to the thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2848966

Nice job You got some great info

This is the kind of info that is useful to a Commando since it seems it is not common knowledge

Now the trick is to figure out how to use this info, into saving some time (it might not be a huge amount but over the couse of the trip)

Great Job

DH and I scored a really good deal on a laptop, so I'm now up and running thanks to DH putting in the time to get the new computer up, running, and all the data transferred. Just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!

OOOH fancy computer. Gotta love the smell of a new computer first thing in the morning! Hopefully you are having better luck in figuring out all the new programs than I am at the moment. This things got far more programs than the old one, and am still trying to figure out where all the data that DH transferred is. I've have a Sony Vaio E series laptop that we got a great deal on just before Christmas.

Back to the parking lots

Now this is where I think I can make some time

If I'm at HS in the A.M. and go to MK in the afternoon, if I catch the bus at the front gate of HS to MK, not only would it save time on going back to the car in the lot, but would save a ton of time getting to MK, since you would most likely be parked in the boondocks in the afternoon, then you would have to catch the tram, then take the Monorail or Ferry over to MK

Compared to the bus dropping you off at the gate of MK

I'm thinking anywhere from 30 - 60 minutes saved each day, over a course of 5 days you are looking at 2.5 - 5 hours of extra park time

If you don't save any time when you leave for the night it really doesn't matter since you are only going back to your room, But somehow I think you still might save some time leaving, I'd much rather not waste park
time

So, are there park to park buses, or do you have to take it to a resort, then to the park?

Ron is going to fly?

I believe there are park to park buses.

Helps with selling Park Hoppers.

There is even a monorail between MK and EPCOT.
