Nice We are charter card members and we try to pay it off every month, since we usally have a trip planned with 0% for 6months we can hold off up to a certain amount if it's a tight month

So far we have cashed out at least $2500 in reward dollars since it started, that's like free money I love it when they do the 3x or 5x promo's, we make sure we bang it in

When I made the reservations early in 2010 for my September trip, the online reservation system opened at 7am. Lucky for me, it fell on a Saturday, so I just had to set my alarm and not worry about getting to work or anything like that! I'm not sure if that's changed since they re-worked some of the online capabilities, but you should look into that since Le Cellier is on your list! Good luck, I hope you get everything you want.

Count me in on the Commando Club. Once we decided to go last year, I immediately sat down and started reading whatever I could. I went and bought books. I bought the Birnbaum's Dining Guide so that we could read about food.

When we go back this July, I will have been WDW five times since last July. Now, two of those trips are one/two day things but that still counts right?

I started making ADRs for this trip before we had really decided to go. However, it was Le Cellier so.....

So for July's trip, I have already made all our ADR's. It all centered around which day was Fantasmic! playing and when we could get a package for that.

You are member #137 I would say all your trips count, especially since you don't live around the corner from WDW, I would love to do a bunch of small trips to Disney every year

The Fantasmic package is a must for us this year, my wife is alittle mad that we missed it the last 2 trips, so I want to be able to lock it in then I don't have to hear her asking if we will be going this year, giving me a attitude

I think I'll try alittle Myth-buster type experiment on this and try it both ways to see when exactly you can do it online, and let everyone know the result, This could be very helpful for everyone knowing when you can book ADR's

Something Fun For Us To Do

We should start a WDW Myth-busting (is it true, can it be done) There is alot of stuff on the boards that don't really have a confirmed answer

With all of us being Commamdos we are probably the most qualified (since we are all over the parks, and do things alot of people don't get to) I think we can come up with alot of extra stuff that alot don't even know about

If anyone has a ?, and no one can confirm it, maybe someone on thier next trip can check it out to confirm or deny it

Anyone who has read my TR, alot of stuff I look for has been things I've heard off, but were not really confirmed, Since I'm in the parks all day and night I had to see for myself, I can say alot of them have panned out Bonus for me

If we can all come up with some stuff that we can confirm or check out, it would most likely be a more fruitful trip for us Commando's getting in some extras

Can we join?

My DH and I want to become a Commando member(s)...

We are doing an 11 park, 4 country tour in April with very little pre-planning, except for the tickets and such.

When we do the WDW, we always do it commando.

What does a girl gotta do to join this club?

I got one I confirmed Nov 2009,The shooting gallery is free when MK opens (1st hour), we hit SM & BTM 1st so when we went by it was around 9:30, my son and I had alot of fun shooting for free, when we passed it again after 10am you had to pay, but I have not tried it since, so I can't say for sure if it is still current

The shooting gallery in MK is free when the park opens (1st hour) can anyone confrim, deny it as current, or will try it out to see if it still works

Here's one I can Confirm, Yes there is indeed a opening ceremony at Chef Mickey's at 5pm. We got ripped off somehow by the lady behind us, and her grandson got picked, even though we were 1st in line, my son was so disappointed, and we will never go back to CM because of that

At 5pm the 1st family in line is picked to open CM's. The child annouces on the PA that Chef Mickey's is now open, Mickey greets the Family and a Pic is taken. Then Mickey escorts you to your table, as you are walking down the main aisle, the whole CM staff is lined up with thier hand out, and you get to slap everyones hand as your walking by.

It's nothing really huge, but to a kid it's a big deal

We were the 1st in line by a good 15min, I don't know how they were picked (they were 2nd in line), after it happened I was hot My wife asked the hostess how you are picked to open CM's, she said you have to be a party of 3 or more and be the 1st on line, my wife then asked if that's the case how did the 2nd family in line with a party of 2 get picked (after she realized we had 3 and were 1st, she didn't know what to say)

They may also do one for Breakfast, but I do not know for sure

I was just reading up on the Disney Parks technology initiatives meeting they had this week, and I must say I've got some mixed feelings about it

My main focus is the FP's you would be able to arange for rides and shows before you even travel

Now looking at it in a Commando way, it would probably benifit us greatly, since we are well planned we know pretty much where we will be at what time, plus maybe the more then 1 park a day factor. But the thing that scares me is why they would consider doing this, IMO it probably comes from complaints about rides like TSM that run out of FP's quickly, and they couldn't get one, but fail to mention they didn't leave the resort till late (had to sleep in) Once again big corprate catering to the lazy

I really don't think it will work out, but I also think if they try it, the Commando's will excel in getting even more done in a day

I'm not excited about "booking" my FP's or rides in advance. Look at well the ADR system works. DH and I were discussing tonight how we miss not being able to book our PS/ADR at the park on the day of the reservation. I love to plan but there's something to be said for spontaneity.
