I am just south of Baton Rouge. I have been to West Monroe quite a few times as my SIL/BIL used to live there.

I do have a question that maybe someone can answer. We are staying at CBR when we go. I see people talking about specific rooms. Can you request or find out what room they have you in prior to your arrival? This is only our 2nd trip and the first one was for our honeymoon in 1998. So I don't know how all that works. We do not have preferred rooms booked. Or is that just something you find out when you get there and hope for the best.

We were just there the last week of October for our first visit back to the world since 1990, so I'm no expert. I do know that you will not find out your room number prior to checking in on arrival day.

I did a ton of reading on this board and others and this is what we did. Six day before we left, I called the main reservation line and asked to make a couple requests. It is recommended to list them in order of preference. We requested Jamaica 45 and on the 2nd floor. I called back the next day and asked them to read back to me any special requests and the CM read back my 2 requests.

When we arrived, we were in Jamaica 45 and on the 2nd floor.

It really is a small world.

I usually try not to make too many requests regarding our room and/or location. When my mother travels with us, she has her own room and needs a downstairs room. I have our two reservations linked and then make notations on each that we would like a downstairs room and that we would like to be placed as close to each other as possible.

If I were you, I'd go ahead and call now and ask that they make a notation of your village/building/room request. I'd call again when I was about 6 or 7 days from my arrival date just to make sure the requests are still noted.

You won't know your room number ahead of time so it's really luck of the draw as far as that goes.

Thanks to both of you! Is there a map online of the resort to see where everything is located? I am clueless as to the location of each of the "regions" and which ones are better than others.

More than likely, I will not worry with requests and just be happy to be at the happiest place on earth!

We stayed at CBR in Jamacia 41 this time last December. We had a blast We are going back this June, I cannot wait

We just came back from a short trip at CSR ...
The resort was ok but we LOVE CBR !!!!
Does anyone think that CBR will ever get queen sized beds ???
Port Orleans has them as well as CSR so CBR is the only moderate to still have full sized beds.

I had one castmember tell me they were going to switch over to queen beds but I haven't gotten any other confirmation. I sure hope they switch.
