in that people are impressed with the improvements over the k7 offerings making the K5 a challenger in the semi pro world.

What are your thoughts? you can PM me to keep it off the photo thread...
Will hopefully be upgrading from my 20D within the next few months...just cant afford it right now
Short answer: WOW what a camera!
I'll save the long answer for another thread. Maybe I'll repost my "showoff new equipment" post into a new thread since it got stuck in the wedding thread of all places.

I had a handful of other shots in there that were not really my favorites either so I deleted them all- and then kind of purged my photostream in general.
Heh, I did see you posting something about deleting a bunch of old photos. That particular photo was somewhat eye-singeing Obviously, I'm not a fan of the Topaz look in any circumstance but that was really something else entirely! I'm glad that's not the direction you're trying to go into.

Just to keep on topic, I'll add a shot... hopefully being the last person who shoots fisheye or OWA and doesn't do Topaz-style processing doesn't make me into more of an outcast than I already am!

You're not the only one, I don't do topaz, either (although mine do have more of a processed look than yours). That was really the only thing I wasn't wild about on that Oabore lights shot.

I like to use Topaz but as you can read from above it's not for everyone.

^Love that shot even more than the last. Can't wait to take the Samyang to the Osborne (not Oabore...stupid iPhone auto-correct) Lights!

I hope we're not the last of a dying breed. I much prefer photos that look more natural; there seems to be something about fisheyes and UWAs that is attracting HDR recently all of a sudden though.

Here's a shot that didn't make my original cut, I tweaked it a little and put it in my Flickr account. It's not perfect (the colors are just not what I want) but I wanted something after spending a fair amount of time trying to get the shot. (This was a time when an articulating LCD might have been nice, as I had the camera just about on the ground. I might need to try the shot again next trip...

Thanks! They are our muse.

Nice France shot. It's nice to point the fisheye almost straight up sometimes.

I'll have to rescan this sometime, but here's a film shot with the Zenitar 16mm on a K1000 from back on 12/31/2006, the last time I was able to see the show. (Until four weeks from Saturday!)
