Yay for finally having airfare! I'm going to book mine at the end of the month, as that's the only time I'll be able to. I'd call the reservation office to see what they say about adding just you for tickets and dining. I'm not sure how they work that

Yay for finally getting your airfare booked & paid for!

I'm afraid you might just have a bit of trouble pulling this off. To be on the dining plan everyone in your room has to be on the same package, meaning DH would have to be on the DDP too. You would both also have to have park tickets as the DDP is only available as part of the Magic Your Way package unless you are a DVC owner or AP holder. You can try though, wouldn't hurt to call and ask!

Buying park tickets just for you will be easy, you can buy them from the concierge desk when you arrive.

I suspect that you're right about this being NOT easy . I've been reading up the T&Cs on the packages and I don't think I'll be allowed to go on the DDP without DH being on the same plan. I checked with the TA I used in May and she basically said the same thing.

Oh well, I can always pay for food OOP.

Step 11 - My NOT Illustrated Itinerary

Step 11 of any good planning for WDW is putting together an Illustrated Itinerary on a day by day basis of what one would be doing at the parks. This involves compiling photographs of various locations, rides and food porn, traditionally either using:
  • stock photos previously taken by self, or the more expedient route of
  • swiping photos from fellow Disers.

And with about 4 weeks left to go to October, a number of my fellow October Foodie and Vino Dis-ers have been very busy preparing their Illustrated Itineraries on what they will be doing when at the Parks. I have been enjoying following their pictorial representation of what attractions and what dining experiences they will be hitting.

So, without further ado, here's my NOT Illustrated Itinerary. I acknowledge that all photographs used have been taken by myself - feel free to swipe .

On any given day at the World, I will NOT be waking up to look at this ceiling from my bed.

I will most certainly NOT be thinking about making breakfast; although I do hope to get some of this for my breakfast when I'm at the World.

And after breakfast, I will definitely NOT be feeding my two cats either.

I hope that I will NOT miss them too much....but I suspect that this is probably going to be NOT the case.

I will certainly NOT care that the girl cat will be sleeping on my bed!

There will definitely NOT be any thoughts of doing this activity!

Nor will there be any need for hanging about...

Therefore, we will NOT have a pile like this waiting...

for someone to NOT complete this task!

During the day, I will NOT be having to cook for lunch or dinner.

I will NOT be thinking about my favourite household appliance either.

And this chore will NOT be top of mind either!

The one regret I am likely to have is NOT being able to enjoy my favourite Java for a few days.....

But I'm prepared to make the sacrifice to spend a few days at the WORLD!

ps. For anyone wanting to know what my days may look like, please go to DisneyFirefly's PTR and check out her II's.

Thanks. I think my cats are adorable too; except when they bite, scratch or wake me up in the middle of the night...and then they are NOT.

So much so, I wish I was at the World now and NOT here. But anticipating a trip is more than half the fun for me.

It does NOT seem crazy to spend more....

I would like to thank Ms. Shuttergirl for the tagline for this post.

Firefly tells me that we are down to 40 days for my NOT not trip.
40 days....

So, I've been spending some time thinking about the more prosaic side of travel....namely what things I might need to get for this trip.

I know that I've already spent a bit on the international airfare and DH's work is paying for accommodation, his ticket and his conference registration; so it does NOT seem crazy to spend more for:

1. Food. I've worked out that I will need to buy food OOP as it would appear that I will NOT be able to go on a Disney dining plan. I think I'm going to have to allocate a budget of about $50 per day for this.

2. MNSSHP tickets. I've purchased and paid for my MNSSHP tickets for the 24th and the 26th October. It might be overkill for me to attend TWO parties in the 4 nights that I'm at the World; but I say why NOT? Afterall, I'm (not) likely to head back this way for a while. And I opted for the on-line ticket so I have these printed out for me to take.

3. Park Hopper tickets. I've decided to buy a 4 day park hopper ticket to the World. This should cover me for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and possibly a very short visit on Wednesday morning should I choose to. I know that I may NOT be visiting any park on Wednesday; but it will cost me an extra $6 for a 4 day park hopper compared with a 3 day park hopper. I think $6 is worth spending to keep this option open. I'm going to purchase this ticket when we check in.

4. LBD. I've got my eye on a light weight black dress that would be perfect to wear to one of the MNSSHP. I do NOT need to purchase this dress; but if it goes on sale in the next 40 days, I may well find that this will be slip its way into the empty bags.

Anyone want to pick out the item that it would NOT seem crazy to get in the list above?

Hm... I'm gonna say the dress, since you've already bought your MNSSHP tickets, you need food on your vacation, and the park hoppers make sense, so the only thing that isn't a given is the dress

I'm NOT using NOT in this post....

I guess it had to happen at some time....better now than never .

This post will be working hard at NOT using 'NOT' ......

I have been working hard at the only practical bit planning that I must take seriously. I have no choice but to be sensible for this item.

Curious? You might be disappointed when you find out......

Well...It really is a very pragmatic item ....

It all comes down to $$$ and a favourable Australian to US Dollar exchange rate.

Today, the Australian Dollar hit an exchange rate of 94.5 cents against the US Dollar. The significance of this particular rate is that it is the rate that the Aussie Dollar got to as a high point BEFORE the Global Financial Crisis.
(If you're feeling a tad disappointed at this stage, I did warn you that this item sits firmly in the 'sensible' tag!).

Me? This is an occassion for celebration over in DownUnder land !

To celebrate this high point, I changed enough Australian money for US money to cover:
  • Park Hopper Tickets
  • Food budget
  • Shopping for the allocated items in a previous post that I wished I had gotten in May but resisted (OMG! It was hard to avoid that word I'm avoiding.....nearly used it again just in this sentence!)
  • A little bit extra for the bits and pieces I am sure to want

I'm nearly all set!

And should the little Aussie Battler go higher, I plan on exchange some more money at that point.

Here's to a higher exchange rate!
