Congrats and Welcome!

That is so exciting about getting married on the cruise! I had thought about that too but decided I couldn't get away with cutting that many from our guest list, I barely got away with the 50 I invited

The dress is gorgeous, I love the lace accents! I can't wait to read more!

Congrats!! I love your dress! Keep the ideas coming...

I too am getting married on the Dream, but Oct 28th. Can't wait to hear more of your planning...but I need to ask...where did you get those STD's. I love those. Also, when are you planning on sending yours out because I too was thinking that I will need to get them out sooner than later so people can save and/or book early. Sorry for taking over your thread....Thanks and congrats!!!

Also, I'm from Missouri as well...down here in good ole SW MO! My sis lives in downtown St Louis though so I'm up there all the time visiting her loft and going to Cards games!!!! I love your STD ideas and that dress looks like it would be soooo pretty!!! I can't wait to hear more of your ideas and look forward to seeing a picture of a pretty ring sitting on your finger soon!!!!!!!
Thanks - I went to college in Springfield and loved being in SW MO. Good luck with your planning!

Get off the ground and stop wasting the photographers time! Love that you did kind of the same thing! makes for a great story after Congratulations!!!
I'm glad I'm not the only one. Brent is still giving me trouble for my reaction. He says I should have known it was coming because we had the wedding booked (and I knew he picked up the ring).

I found a template for the STDs online, and am using that to recreate the ones I saw. I have them completed except I need a pic of me and Brent to use as the passport photo and I need "fancy" paper to print them on. All of my actual guests have been sent a nice (non-fancy but lengthy) email detailing the cruise/wedding plans. I figure I'll send them the STDs or invites as the date gets closer. Maybe a year out? We are planning an at-home celebration after the wedding at a to-be-determined date, time and location. More guests will be invited to that, so I'll have to come up with a low cost solution.

Our goal is to spend the min. amount on the wedding, while still having it be what we want (and with the MK shoot/cause I want to be a princess).

We were going to pay for everything ourselves, (not counting the cost of the cruise) but my mom and dad (divorced) have each agreed to give us $2,500 towards the costs. I'm hoping to spend as close to the $5,000 mark as possible not counting the cost of the cruise itself or anytime we spend in Disney as a Disneymoon.

Wow we're really similar! We're paying for everything ourselves too, and my parents are giving us $5000 towards the wedding a our gift, so we're trying to stay as close to that as possible! I really wish we could do a MK photo shoot, but there's no way we'll be able to pay for it. The cruise and 7 nights at WDW after are costing us enough as it is.

Thanks for the info. As much as I would love to do the MK shoot, I do not think it is our budget Neither of our parents have offered anything towards the wedding, but we were not banking on it either. I am trying to keep the cost below $6,000 for both the cruise & the at home reception...probably unlikely if we have to do a more formal reception to please the future MIL...she is afraid to go on the cruise.

Keep posting you planning...I look forward to reading more.

Hi Aimee! I'm anxious to read more of your planning. We will be getting married on the Dream cruise right before you and will be on yours for our honeymoon! Have fun planning I'll be reading, maybe we can share ideas.

You will be on our cruise? How exciting. And I'd love to share ideas (or steal them)

Yep! We are all booked! My parents are coming too. Is there a Thread for that cruise yet? I haven't checked because I have been on the other threads.

No I was thinking about it but I don't think I'll have enough time to keep up with it.

A little background. We are not officially engaged. He is currently having "the talk" with my mama. We are from St. Louis, MO and have lived together the past year. Started dating January 17, 2009.

We are also planning on the DREAM in September. We have the Castaway Kay booked for 9-10-11!!!

And eventually, I'll make one of these journals.. Wont be as interesting.. ONe Tux.. normal shiny shoes.. no dresses and stuff..
