I don't know if it's regular or not! I had never noticed it before, but as soon as I saw it I jumped! It was at the station with other Asian dishes, around 9:00 at night.

I was at BOG for lunch back during the AP previews in November. I'm not vegan but have a whole slew of allergies that make things pretty difficult. BOG was accomodating at lunch but it was a bit dissappointing. They can take stuff off of a meal but not change things around. I was able to get just the steak and some greens from the steak sandwhich. The greens were considered a "salad" and I got charged full price for what was basically half the meal. If I could get just the meat, I'm sure they'd have no issues with not including the meat. You will be paying for the meat unless something's changed since Nov. just so you're aware.

We'll be there in less than 2 weeks and I will surely report back to this thread about dining as a gluten-free vegan. But I'd appreciate a head's up about BOG.

Again, not vegan, but I am gluten free and dairy free. One of the lunch chefs told me that the quinoa salad was off limits to me. Now, that could have been due to one of my other allergies but he made it sound like it was due to one of those two. Dessert was completely off limits to me. The chef mentioned dairy in the lemon custard.

I hope someone can report back with some positive changes. As for me, don't worry about me taking a lunch spot or adr; I'm staying away until they get a menu I can work with better.

Let's see, this was our first trip with the regular DP and so I really tried to find some good vegetarian choices at each restaurant. I was quite surprised at all I missed on our trip back in May!

Here are the meals I had and where:
Sunshine Seasons Veggie Lo Mein and Chik'n. The chik'n was good, would've rather had rice which you can ask for.


Wolfgang Puck Express Roasted Vegetable Sandwich. Best thing the entire trip, I could not believe how good it tasted and the fries were delicious.


Pecos Bill Veggie Wrap. Just lettuce, tomato, and cheese in a tortilla, pretty blah, should've went for the veggie burger.


QS Via Napoli Cheese Pizza. One slice, pretty good, better than any other pizza.


Be Our Guest Quinoa Salad. Disappointed in this, will get something else next time.


Vegetarian Platter at Tangierine Cafe in Morocco. SO good, extremely filling, wish I could have some right now!


Lighthouse Sandwich at Columbia Harbour House, we all know this one. Delicious, must-do everytime.


Grilled Vegetable Sub at Studio Catering Company. I was really surprised by how good this was.


Veggie Burger at Art of Animation Food Court. This burger is good if it'd stay together, it just turned to mush when I tried to eat it so it ruined the whole thing. I remember getting it last time and it was much more sturdy and delicious. If you can keep it from falling apart, go ahead.


I also got veggie lasagna at Pop Century Food Court, wasn't really impressed.
We also stopped at Earl of Sandwich before coming home, and was not impressed with my veggie sub either.
I had a veggie burger at Cosmic Rays and it's a decent meal.

Asian station, check. We love their noodle thing anyway, so we'll be there! We eat the orange morsels from Gardein and Trader Joes (probably just Gardein, LOL) at home, so that will be very nice.


The pictures on the last two pages have been wonderful! They have given me ideas for our upcoming trip, thank you!

It's been a while since I checked in on this thread....all I can say is WOW.
I'm really happy so many folks have been able to help each other here.

I just left WDW with a vegetarian DD. We ate at Jilko and she had a couscous, lentil, pepper & squash dish that was quite good. We had dinner at Mara last night and she had falafel on pita with veggies and fries.

Okay, so i ate at BOG for both lunch and dinner last week as a vegan. for lunch i was able to have the Quinoa Salad this is a quinoa salad shaped into a circluar patty with a side salad. It is very good and would be perfect for a lunch during the hotter months as it is very refreshing.

For dinner quinoa was also on the menu with the ratatouille. This was also delicous, but a little light. if you are really hungry this will probably not be enough.

Both of these selections are vegan to start with so nothing special was offered. I think with will be a new trend with disney.

I'm frustrated with the vegetarian kid's options! We have the dining plan for our trip in a month (snack/counter service/full service) and the poor kids are going to be eating pizza, mac n cheese, pasta with red sauce or pb&J the entire week! I wish there were more of the adult vegetarian options on the kids menus. My kids love veggie burgers, bean burritos, soup, hummus, etc. They are not so big on cheese or pasta. Ok, rant over. It's just a week and they'll survive. If anyone knows of another kid's option that I'm missing, please let me know! We only got the dining plan because it was part of the package deal that was the best price in the end.

This is why we don't do the dining plan - really there are no good options for vegan kids! We tend to bring a lot of food with us, stop at the fruit and veggie stands in the parks, and share adult meals between the kids.

I do appreciate that there are usually grapes, carrot sticks and apple sauce available - there was a time when pretty much the only "side" was french fries. I remember going a few years ago with just my grandson (he was eight at the time) on the dining plan, and a couple of times he got them to give him extra sides (rather than any of the kid's "main dishes") and then I would share my meal with him. So we had a pile of grapes and carrot sticks plus half a veggie burger each. I know at Sunshine Seasons they gave him tofu salad with a side of salad (yes, more salad) when he asked! So if it is not crazy busy, and you get someone nice and explain what you need, they may be willing to be flexible for you.

Thanks for your response. Hopefully we will get someone willing to work with us if they are not too busy. We did make an ADR at Tusker House, so we will all eat great that day!

For the kids paying and having them be able to split a few better adult meals may be worth it. On one trip where we got free dining we used most of the kids QS credits for breakfast (most places have vegan waffles if you are willing to wait a bit extra) and then bought an extra adult QS here and there. I don't think we spent more than $50 the whole week doing that and it made things much more enjoyable. If there is nothing on the kids menu that meets their dietary needs most places will be able to substitute. If you stick to the allergy friendly locations it's much easier in that regard because they hav extra items n hand. Epcot had lots of better kid options too.

That is a great idea. They all like eggs and waffles and then we could pay out of pocket for an adult QS meal for them to share at lunch, along with having some of ours. I booked 4 out of 6 full service as buffet, so they'll have plenty of options then.

I've eaten at Be Our Guest twice for lunch. First time I had the Vegetable Quiche (obviously not Vegan). I would just label this as ok -- pretty blah and I just got tired chewing before I finished it. The champagne vinaigrette that comes on the salad is quite good though - it's almost bubbly!

The second time I went I actually went for the Kid's Pasta (whole grain with tomato sauce) and the Potato Leek soup. This is actually what I'll probably get from now on. I had the Peach applesauce as my side and if you like peaches that stuff is AMAZING! It even came with some steamed broccoli. The Potato Leek soup is also very very good. Overall for the price, I thought this was a very good deal.

I haven't tried the Quinoa salad because I'm not a huge fan of beets. If I don't like beets, do you think I'll enjoy it?

I'm bummed to hear about the quiche, though. My son recently got to try quiche and LOVES it, so he'll probably be ordering that if we go to BOG for lunch. Hopefully he'll like it.
