[QUOTE=lemonsours;42494066]Actually, I've heard the opposite from several sources, including my DS's pediatrician. She suggested liquid iron supplement for him, 1 ml in a glass of OJ daily. It's worked for him and me both!

I forgot to mention I drink calcium-enriched OJ. You are right, iron is absorbed better with Vit. C, just not with calcium. I'm glad it has worked for you, hopefully I can "cure" it.

Hey everyone, so this is the first time ever we are going to get the dining plan (I did the math and we are totally going to get our money's worth especially now that Boma is $40 a pop!)
We are eatings at(for dinner)

Garden Grill
Crystal Palace
Ohana
Boma(1st time! So excited!!!)

I'm not worried about the table service places, as I always have more than enough to eat(even doing a walk-up- the only exception has been 1900 PF for breakfast), but what are you favorite counter service options on the dining plan? I love Columbia Harbour House, Tangierine cafe, but at Hollywood studios I suppose the Backlot Express is the only real option and Animal Kingdom I have no clue. Does anywhere give you an actual vegan dessert (Divvies?) with your entree or do they just give you an extra side typically?

Aside from the ones you mentioned I really like Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD and Sunshine Seasons at Epcot.

I've heard Restaurantasouras (sp?) in AK has a veggie sandwich. According to the All Ears menu it comes with sweet potato fries. I may have to check that out on my trip.

Just saw on another thread that Sci-fi is getting rid of the tofu dish. I was on the wall between there and Mama Melrose for our trip in a couple of weeks, but I guess that my decision has been made for me!

Sorry to hear this. I booked an ADR there for our next trip, expecting to order that. Do you happen to remember which other thread is discussing this?

Found it! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2796902

This is really late on the CRT thing but better late then never right?! I had the Pomodoro Fish minus the fish and it was a pasta Pomodoro dish with fresh tonatoes and perfectly seasoned, very authentic italian tasting. It was vegan and Delish! I think CRT was actually one of my faces of the trip believe it or not!

OMG! I could live off of the Cookies with frosting! The Donuts are soooo good as well and the employees are always so sweet !

Hey everyone, just FYI I started a Blog(have a little bit of extra time now that DS4 just started VPK and get restless for the 3 hours he is there)
The blog is just for Vegan & vegetarian food porn from Walt Disney World locations. If any of you want to email me pictures

vegancupcake561@gmail.com

http://veggiefoodpornatdisney.blogspot.com

If possible please include the following
A picture of the food with a description
Where you purchased it(Park,Resort,Downtown Disney?)
Which meal(Breakfast, lunch, dinner)
The Chef's Name(if you can remember)
Label it Vegan or Vegetarian
Also please make a note if you ahd to ask for anything special to be done to the dish to accommodate your diet(hold the cheese, switch the bread, etc)

I think this will be a fun project for me and it will definitely help a lot of us!

I hope that you have better luck getting a vegan meal at WPE than I did... my attempt was an outright disaster. Seeing "beans" on a different salad, I foolishly asked for them to include them on my salad: they happily complied... with GREEN beans. I left overcharged for a salad with beets and green beans and quite disappointed. There are many options for ovo-lacto vegetarians, but not many for vegans.

Has anyone had success there? I hate to cross it off our list as my omni son really does like it there.

Hey everyone,
I finally finished my trip report, including details on all the counter service and table service restaurants I ate at. I linked it in my signature below.

Great trip report! I'm halfway through, but it's already giving me some more good ideas for CS options on our upcoming trip!

Two questions about Mara at AKL: Is it CS and is the fallafel vegan (but just not gluten-free)?

Hi DaymanX!

Thank you. It took a lot of time but I definitely was helped by everyone else's reports so I really wanted to help, too.

I have no idea if the falafel is vegan naturally. In general, falafel don't have eggs, so if they are making them moderately authentic then it should be okay. But I bring up gluten-free first because my celiac is very severe (I get sick very easily), so that was the main issue. After they combat that, I throw in the vegan card. But I would say that if you get a good chef working, they'll do whatever you want. She just happened to be there, very helpful, and it was a good time of day (like 3pm).

It is a counter service restaurant - did I list it under the wrong one? I'll have to double check.
