Melanie, what a fabulous list! I am copying this list for things for myself, I was concerned about finding snacks but this is so great! I will be able to get my treats along with my family. Thank you!

A couple of EPCOT questions -

Anyone know about the vegetarian option at Garden Grill? I've heard pumpkin risotto and a brussel sprout dish.

I saw that Le Cellier's menu changes seasonally now. The menu I've found posted now offers quiche as the vegetarian option. I'm not a big quiche eater. Do you think they'd let me get an appetizer as a meal instead on the DP?

Thanks so much!

Hi there, I don't know any of it first hand. I do know I've seen some vegetarian dining reviews where this is discussed (both places), although the menu does change and it's probably not the same anymore. I'd call ahead and have the chef made aware that your vegetarian. I'd ask to speak to a chef and see what they can do for you. Tell them you don't like quiche and see what else they can offer you. Who knows, it might not even be quiche by that time. Definately call ahead, and maybe even see if you can e-mail the restaurant or have someone from the restaurant call you.

recently I think I saw a phone number for somone in Dining at Epcot. If I find it, I'll post it here.

Is there an option for soy or rice milk for coffee at the resorts where you can refill your refillable mug? I am not a huge fan of black coffee.
Thanks

Heather, unfortunately there isn't. I always purchase some 8 oz tetrapaks of soy milk specifically for my coffee is we're not staying at a DVC villa. I put some in my refillable mug before we head down to the food court and the rest goes in the room fridge. At places like the Main Street Bakery you have to buy your own soy milk or drink black coffee (Starbucks it isn't ).

I typically invest in this stuff for vacations:

Note that it is not explicitly vegan, but it is vegetarian.

Most of the food courts have soy milk to purchase. I know POP does, and I remember that AKL did (so I imagine most have it). Unfortunately that could get costly if you bought one every day depending on how long your there. They are the small individual ones (8oz) and possibly if you kept it on ice (covered in ice in the ice bucket) or in a cooler w/ ice or a fridge it would be enough for coffee for several days since you usually don't put tons in coffee. It would definately be cheaper to buy your own. I think they make those little ones in packages that don't need to be refrigerated until you open them (but I could be wrong).

I'll keep looking for more. I know I saw one that had pictures of the meal they ate.

Unfortunately those are definately not dairy free because they do contain sodium caseinate which is a milk derivitive, so definately not vegan - but like you said vegetarian

I have heard of powdered soy milk though. I've personally never seen it so I can't comment on what it's like.

Thanks Melanie. That was helpful. You'd think Garden Grill with access to the Land would be awesome. I haven't been since I became a vegetarian so it makes me a bit nervous not knowing what they might bring out. I prefer menus.

I have seen powdered soy milk. I can find it in health food store and in some well stocked bulk stores.

I have never used it but I have checked the ingredients and it is vegan.

There are a few online vegan grocers that have powdered soy creamer. I saw some at Food Fight the other day.
