That resort is so beautiful!

I have to say I am almost compulsive about making rope drop so waiting on the others would have driven me nuts!

You are a terrific hostess to listen to the "angel" side-- can't say I would have done the same and left MK so early on my first night!!
Beautiful WL pictures-- I am so excited to stay there! I hope you didn't have to wait TOO long, though!

What is it about a Christmas store????? It can be 90 degrees without a cloud in the ski and everybody loves a Christmas store! I have definitely scaled back on my Christmas purchases, but I can't resist Disney items!

I always try to go running on vacation. Even when my legs are stiff and my feet have blisters. Yes - I am into self inflicted torture, but I really enjoy the solitude of an early morning run. It's a good way for me to start the day.

I knew my friends weren't gonna go kamakazee into the parks. That's OK, but I did start to get antsy and finally called DH and said I was leaving!

I did really want to go ride some rides with my creepy internet friends! But a low key first night was OK. We actually didn't get to sleep until midnight, so that's not too bad for us "old farts".

Glad you like the pics and the VWL room. It was a neat place - different from all the other resorts.

Glad you like the pics. It is a beautiful resort - so different in feel from all the others.

I am not compulsive about rope drop, but I like to be there right after the rop drop great disperses. So I was OK with not being there at 9am, but I really wanted to stroll in around 915pm. It didn't happen - in fact it didn't happen all week until the day I went to HS by myself.

Glad you like the WL pics. I will definitely post more, since I took a ton while waiting. I actually saw the geyser go off, so that means I must have left the room around 850am! Got my times a little confused.

So - I got up early this morning, thinking I might go for a run before work. This is really the only time of the year when I can do that. The darkness starts to lift around 530am, so I can actually SEE where I am going. But, again the competing angel and devil - this time I listened to the devil and opted to check in on my TR and post a few more WL pics. When I uploaded to photobucket all my Day 2 pictures got completely out of order. 300 pictures in random order, so I will do my best to find some more of the WL.

I must correct myself - I actually left the villas at around 850am. I know that because I saw the geyser go off at 9am! The geyser, as I'm sure most of you know, goes off promptly on the hour - every hour. I also forgot to mention that I saw about 5 deer during my morning run. They seemed almost domesticated and they were certainly not afraid when they heard me clod hopping along the trail (not the most graceful runner, am I).

Map Anyone?

Ok ....plan change. I started writing about running and looked at this picture, which is close to where the running trail starts, and decided I needed a quick 20 minute run. So the angel won after all and I can't post anymore pics now. Gotta go get ready for work.

OMG! Love the pics of the villas. i so can't wait to try that place out! that is one that my DH really wants to stay at. I think WLV may be the one that convinces him that we need more points.

insert evil laugh here! We went last year to WWC for dinner and looked at around the resort and like you fell in love with it! Thanks so much for the wonderful pics! Can't wait for more!!

Have to say, it looks like you got all the photography genes at your house!

I was so sad you couldn't stay with us for a bit, but we all understood that first day is rough- and you had guests to be with. We ALL would have done the same! But we missed you!!

I LOVE all your pics of VWL- that's the only one I haven't stayed at (well, and GCV, but I am having a VERY rough time getting anyone to go to California with me!!

) It kind of reminds me of HHI- the color scheme is very similar. It should be getting an update soon, right? OKW is being done now, and I think VWL is the last for a refurb. Looks very peaceful.

I have to tell you, I was totally LOL

over your run this morning! Good girl for going- it was a BEAUTIFUL day!! And I am pretty sure I can meet you next Friday morning, should I figure out a lunch spot? Maybe Joan will want to come!
