I was on my senior class trip and we were at Blizzard Beach. Nine of us were in line for one of the big raft rides (I don't remember the name.) The rafts (tubes?) have a five-person limit, but some of the guys in the group decided it would be fun for all nine of us to ride down together. So when it was our turn, six of them rushed the raft (myself and two others stayed back knowing it would never work.) Before the start the rush, there were three, maybe four, lifeguards on duty. After they started the rush, and before all six made it into the raft, at least five more lifeguards came out of no where to make sure no more than five persons were going down on that raft. Never saw were the extra lifeguards came from.

DDWalls, you had to watch closely. Suddenly a few "guests" stepped behind a tree, ducked into a telephone booth or a shadow. They then ripped off the Hawaiian print bathing suit (seams were already cut for this) to reveal the official Disney Lifeguard swimwear. It happened so quickly, the you completely missed it.

While you were distracted by the situation, a cast member nonchalantly picked up the discarded cover clothing and while appearing to empty trash cans got all evidence of the quick change cleaned up.

One Saturday in December, we just got on the monorail at the TTC to go to MK and a fully dressed cop came around with a K-9 who entered each door. I guess he was sniffing for something??

DF, my mom and I just looked at each other and were like OMG should we get off?! haha. first time that EVER happened to us! It was kind of scary actually.

I actually have a real undercover story to add to this thread now! How exciting? lol

So, DF and I got our engagement pictures taken at Epcot in December at 7:45. It took an hour so we brought a change of clothes because we wanted to take the boat to Hollywood Studios to be there by 9 to meet up with my parents. Well, we were outside International Gateway and sat on one of the benches over by the bathrooms. We were going to change at the Beach Club (which I guess we should have) but figured there weren't many people around, and no one in the bathrooms so we should be fine here. Well DF went inside the bathroom to change and I started changing my shoes and organizing my back pack when this guy walks past me. I didn't think anything of it at first but then he came by again. At this point I was like what the heck?! We were near a path that wasn't well travelled so he had to go out of his way to pass me. I was thinking, "I'm just changing my shoes can I get a little privacy here?!" HAHA.

So DF comes out and I go into the bathroom to change and I started actually thinking about it and how weird of an encounter it was. Then I was like hm.... maybe that guy was undercover security! (B/c of course I read this thread before I went!) So I changed and then pointed the guy out to DF and told him I think he was security. (By this time, he was sitting on a bench in front of the turnstiles. We must have passed the non threat test LOL) Sure enough, he had one of those ear thingys in. I noticed it before but thought it was just a blue tooth. He was regularly dressed with a white hat, button down shirt and shorts.

IDK if he thought we were going to strip down right there?! blow up the place?! who knows. My mom said maybe he thought we were homeless and just using the facilities but I pointed out we were extremely nicely dressed. I mean I was wearing a sweater and DF a button down and we come out of the bathroom wearing shorts and a t-shirt. (of course it was the hottest day we were there!) who knows. I mean, we are easy going people and if I realized it sooner I would have been like SORRY we can leave if it makes you uncomfortable! lol.

Moral of the story... next time we will change in the Beach Club

Back in 2001 we were on the monorail in the back car, there was 7 of us, and earlier that day we had eaten at a breakfast buffet. My then 12 year old son had eaten way to many eggs and the gas had built up. He decided to let it go in the monorail, and I mean it was the grossiest most disgusting smelling gas I have ever smelled in my life. We were all yelling at him and I was so glad when those doors opened. For some reason I think we were the only ones in the car, maybe not I can't remember. We get out of the monorail and I was the last one out because I dropped my bag, but the rest of my family walked towards the ramp to wait for me. I get out and there are 2 CM's standing there and I hear one CM say to another, something about a foul smelling odor, call security. I kept walking, I guess I should have stopped and told the guy but I was trying to catch up with my family, and when I told them, we were all in tears, laughing hysterically walking down the ramp. I swear we all had the giggles the rest of the day. Don't know if they called in security or the dogs, we were long gone.

I often attach more unusual WDW pins to my camera bag on the top and sides. Especially in the early days of pin trading, there were all sorts of CM badges, trainer pins, and other special items listed on eBay. I won a CM Guest Services HOSTESS pin and thought that I'd really snagged a winner. I added it to the camera bag.

On our next trip, we'd been at MK for maybe an hour or so when a female CM approached me near BTM and asked where I got that pin. It wasn't on a lanyard, and it wasn't on my clothing. It was just one pin among many on the bag, but someone's sharp eyes had spotted it. The CM said that it shouldn't have been sold on eBay. At that point I expected her to confiscate it. Instead, she very nicely told me that I needed to remove it and put it into my bag and not display it anymore in the parks.

I felt badly that I’d something out of line, so of course I put the pin away. Apparently, security is watching even the little details.

There are cameras everywhere in Disney! There are cameras which are mounted on the tops of the buildings opposite the lines for each attraction several of these were pointed out to us when we were recently on the KTTW tour!

Well if you could see them they didn't do a very good job did they.

I had two experiences; one was a family shoving each other trying to get on the bus at DTD. You just turned around they were gone.

The second was just outside Germany at Epcot. A girl came out in a tinfoil hat, pretending to be working a video camera and a second girl wearing a silver space cap with flaps going on about how Disney takes over your brain and diminishes your capacity for creativity. Poof, they were gone. Either security got them, or the mother ship came back to pick them up - either way, they were gone in a split second.

WOW! I hope she offered a HUGE apology!!!! Sometimes security can even overstep their boundaries when they act too quickly!!!

Too true. If a guy came up and asked me to lift my shirt up, I'd be more inclined to punch him in the nose than comply with his request...

My five-year old son is *obsessed* with security...playing police or even mall security while other boys play spider man! On our December 2011 trip he fell in love with Disney security...almost not wanting to enter the parks because he'd rather watch the security officers checking bags at the gate!!!

Once home mall security pretend play turned into Disney security. He spent hours on his iTouch googling it and we learned that once the undercover Disney security officers were called foxes. He wears summer clothes, carries a bag with a toy walkie talkie in it and becomes a "fox"...

Not too long ago he asked me at bedtime..." who makes more money...a Disney security officer or you, mom?". Proceeded by " what college do I need to go to to become a Disney security officer?".

The pictures of the security officer and his dog on this thread will make his day today when I show him!!!

As i stood there watching, out of the blue runs a toddler, could barely walk, but he made a bee line for the bottom of the slide and started to crawl up.....as my son was on way down. They collided and the toddler was knocked back and landed on his butt. His father runs over and grabs my son by shirt and shoved him backwards ( he fell) and called him a little S#%T. Well this guy never saw me coming, i spun him around and knocked him in the mouth so hard, he went right down. He was very lucky that the floor there was that rubber stuff because he hit head first. I picked up my son and was going to go find Disney security myself because this guys son was going to need to be looked after for a little while. Id say about 30 seconds after i whacked him, the undercovers showed up. I had 2 wonderfull cast members vouch for me saying they saw the entire thing and that i was defending my son. I know violence isnt always the best way to solve things, but when you child is attacked like that, you do what you have to ( and i dont mind saying it felt GREAT)!!!!
WOW!!! I cannot even believe someone would do that to a little kid!!!! Maybe he needed to tell his son "you don't climb up the slide, you slide down the slide". But either way, that was COMPLETELY uncalled for and I'm glad to hear that the 2 CM's sided with you because you were in the right!!
