I kinda looked but didn't really notice anything in August when we were there.

We're going on DCL in December...anyone know about security on the boats?

Well can't find the name of the program - it was about Disney closely guarded attraction secrets. But yeah, now when I think about it they'd be working their little secret agent socks off dealing with all the photography that goes on if that were the case

I've never noticed them in Disney... but we did have an incident in Universal.

We were at a Harry Potter convention and we allowed into the park after hours. My friend and I went on Forbidden Journey, and after getting off, we ran into some guy she knew in the gift shop. He was clearly intoxicated (apparently he'd pre-gamed the park event), and was begging my friend to stay with him. They get outside the gift shop and he sits on the ground and then proceeds to vomit. She didn't want to leave him alone like this, and eventually a security guard came over (it took awhile but remember this is after hours, at like midnight). However all they did was ask if he was okay, he told them the ride gave him motion sickness and that was all, but they must have been able to smell the alcohol on him, I could smell it easily. Didn't do anything though. We actually wished they would have offered to escort him back to the hotel or at least out of the park though. He wasn't really being disruptive I guess, and so security didn't do much other than ask multiple times if he wanted medical attention. Eventually his friends that he was staying with came along, thank goodness, because I didn't want to waste my private park time sitting with a drunk guy!

Just returned from WDW and want to go back NOW!

One of the surprises for the kids was trips to the water parks. At TL I noticed Disney Security. He was dressed like a regular CM but his ear piece and mannerisms gave him away.

He needed to be at BB the day before. There was a guy over there wearing a bathing suit that was so small he was showing butt crack. If you are wearing a suit, so small that your fanny crack shows, you should be removed from the park. Beside BCM, Butt Crack Man, there was a couple of other creepy guys hanging out by one of the bars. All they did was drink, smoke, and watch the people on the beach.

At the resort one day I saw a toddler who had obviously escaped from the parents. He was moving out into the lobby as fast as he could go. I turned and looked to see if there was a parent but there was none. Another guest was doing the same. I took a few steps towards a sitting room since it looked like the place from which the toddler had escaped. There was a Dad with the, "Ruh Roh, where did he go look?" on his face. I asked him if he had lost someone and pointed to his quickly disappearing son. He quickly recaptured his escapee.

The tropical weather moved in on us on our last weekend which kept us out of EPCOT for F&W but on our earlier trips the crowd was well behaved. I only heard a couple of people who where loudly drunk but they were not bad.

There was a group of three people sitting in France near the Crepe station that was interesting. One member of the party was on an ECV and was well past drunk. He had trouble backing out the ECV so they could go home. I hope he did not run anyone over and I hope they stayed at an EPCOT resort. Gong through the always crowded England was going to be interesting for a drunk on an ECV.

Later,
Dan

70's to 1997 too many trips to count.

Disney is a lens that focuses on people.
Sometimes it exposes the worst.
Most of the time it highlights the best.

I'd have hated for my daughter to get a record at so early and age.
My 3 year old walked out of the CBR gift shop with a whirly light up toy. We went back in and paid for it.

Some one was probably at BB also you just didn't see him/her. Also there is a lot of cameras around.

There were some major incidents at the water parks and I think they have really upped the amount of surveillance.

When we were at MK this past August I saw this guy walk into the park with his "family". Then a little while later while waiting for DW I see the same guy walking by. His gives a little head nod to a sheriff deputy that was there and as he walks by I notice he's wearing an ear piece. So they are absolutely in the parks.

When the bus got to the Magic Kingdom it pulled up to a different stop. Two cast members and an Orange County deputy were there. When they led the "case worker" off the bus the whole bus cheered. Love this thread but this one post really caught my eye...and you being a fellow Georgian, you know we don't do to well with interference in raising our "young'uns".

First, the bus driver made a good point. How true...and sad.

Second, I hate those leash things too- think they are ridiculous looking but I also had enough space in between my kids that I never needed one, even as a single mom (thank goodness). However, that mother was a lot better woman than me, because if that lady would have chimed in on her in front of me, I probably would have been the one arrested.

I would have started with the simple statement of..."It's probably about time your shut your fat trap, 'cuz if you don't, I'll be joining you at the next bus stop." Mind you, I wouldn't have put my hands on her- I pay too much to go to Disney to do that- but I would have immediately called the police and demanded her office superior's number.

Many social workers are wonderful people who are underpaid and overworked. There are a few, at least in my part of the state, that are bullies, pure and simple, and use what little power they think they have to try to control other people around them. If this woman was a social worker, then Disney should have called her office immediately as well. She severely overstepped her boundaries on that.

Of course, I can't know for sure, but I got the impression that the confrontational lady most likely wasn't a social worker. Probably a nut job that got all obsessed about the leash and mouthed off.

Awesome to know that Disney paid attention and didn't allow the poor mom in question to get followed by the wacko.
