I have been trying to respond to your TR since last night. For some reason there is something in your TR that keeps shutting down the safari on my Mac. Its crazy, but everytime I tried to open it at home safari quit. So I had to wait till I got to a pc at work, then it took me all day to post. The good news is that I am finally able to see pictures consistently at work!

Your meal at Sanaa looks almost identical to the one I had. It was so delish and I love the bread. So super yummy. I had the Atlantic chard as well and it was great. I will definitely be going back to Sanaa!

You guys had such a fun trip but I really think we need a group ToT ride next May! Com'on now - let me hear a big Yes

I can't remember what else I wanted to comment on because I'm afraid if I go back and read again I'll get called to do something and lose my reply. I have been trying for 3 hours to post and either can't get this computer or get interrupted!

Phew! I am finally caught up again! Thank god for the links. I love links.

Great review of the GF HT. I did the tea with Princess Aurora at the GF with my daughter....twice actually and at least the food seems virtually identical with the exception of the dessert. (We were all served cake).

I will have to take her to the regular tea on an upcoming trip. She is sadly growing out of the Princess stage. But on the bright side, I could probably do 5 HTs for the cost of the Princess one.

Those nighttime photos of the BCV have me missing that place like crazy. Sigh! I love that place!

We also got over to the Boardwalk Inn this trip...I really liked it too. I will have to remember to pop over for a nightcap one night!

Great review of Sanna....another one to put on my list.

Sad to hear the trip is coming to an end...look forward to reading along til the end!

My in-laws want to stay at AKL at some point above any other onsite resort. I think points might be the way to go for them. Only problem is the dogs. They don't want to do Disney without me anymore since i make it so easy...but..they don't trust anyone but dh and I with their dogs. I'm thinking all these resort/food pics may convince them to go without me for even just a few days.

Ok I have a lot of ready to do but I wanted to put this on my list of TR. I envy you all getting to go with just a group of ladies. I want to do that. I have one good friend who is a Dis nut like me, well sort of not as bad as I am. She will not go with out her son though.
Maybe one time I can join you all or find some other's who would love to do this? My DD's both like going and they are older but still just not the same, as I would still deal with their attitudes you know what I mean?

I agree Ellen--who don't you meet? Im the one who always runs into people I know from home on vacation. Sanaa looks good but the girls nixed that one for Oct. Who knows--once I have this AP it will be burning a hole in my pocket and I may have enough FF points to go on a free trip. Hmmmm...

I've really enjoyed hearing about your trip; thanks for sharing it! I think it would be so fun to do a girls' only trip.

Do you have to be a DVC owner to do Owner's Locker?

Those were just taken with my little camera! The big key was putting it on a flat surface- we all REALLY need a good, collapsible tripod, i think! I have gorilla pods, but there is not always a pole or other something to wrap them aroun- KWIM??

And how did I forget that we saw you that night??? I just realized when I saw your post- and while I was writing it, I had the strangest feeling SOMETHING was missing.... DUH!!! I'll have to fix that in my next post.

Sorry you were having trouble on that page. But so happy you can see pics at work, now!! And I'll see how ToT goes in October before I commit to a big Mom ride! How about a big MAYBE??

Gotta say....that is one of the BEST parts of having one- an OL means you will be visiting a LOT!

Hi! Yea- I love that place (BCV) too. Glad I'll be staying there again this October before our cruise.

And I'm glad you like the links- I think they help a lot when I'm reading someone else's TR (like yours!!!).

And GO TO SANAA!!!!! It rocks!

I agree- renting the points is a good way to go- unless they're offering the big discounts and you can score a PIN. They have GOT to stop worrying about those little doggies!!!! Just GO!!!!!!

Hi pixiedustmom!!! How old are your girls? I have a 13 year old son who has started giving me attitude this year- so yes, i know what you mean. Fortunately, so far, he is still enjoying WDW (and is REALLY excited about our upcoming second DCL cruise- that is his favorite vacation EVER!!) and he is still a good kid most of the time. It is a completely different vacation when you go with girlfriends- the first year, just Lonnie & I went- she was not a big Disney nut AT ALL. Even though she was (is)living in Florida, she had barely been to WDW! I KNOW!!!!! Well, for me, that was a lot of fun- because she saw everything with brandy-new eyes- and she became a big fan of the Disney vacation. So just because your friends are not Disney crazed, doesn't mean they wouldn't want to go!

i usually see people on vacation, too. I LOVE that!!! Too bad your girls nixed Sanaa- it's fun with kids for lunch, with all the animals outside. And hmmmmm....when's your next trip?

Love sharing it! Thanks so much for reading it and always making comments!!

No- you don't have to be a DVC owner- just that there are a lot of DVC owners who use OLs because we tend to come more than once a year. Lucky, lucky us.

Ok I really appreciate the links to the post. It only took me a couple days to read through.

I just want to make a couple comments even though I am sure they are way behind.
First those bridesmaid dresses very quite similar. Both were of a floral design. Funny how times change huh?

I love the new home and new paint job. Such a big spacious home.

The food porn was so good. I enjoyed reading about it all and now I really want to try some.

The drinks, oh the drinks. Makes me wish I had a few now.

OK - I guess that will have to do!

BTW - I think my soccer moms are starting to bail on the May trip. One mom thinks its when her son will be running states in track. One mom thinks its too close to graduation.

I'm sort of torn, but I may just go myself and stay 1 night resort and 3 nights dvc. We will see - I still have time.

The MOST STUPID idea I've ever had!!

So Joan and I were headed to...where else...EPCOT for the remainder of our time at WDW. I needed to renew my AP using my GAD voucher- which was AWESOME because it took something like $88 off the renewal price AND i got an extra 3 months added to my AP because of the promotion. Meanwhile, Joan was looking for souvenirs. We actually both needed to get some stuff for our kids, and I also wanted to try to find a Thumper garden statue (which I seemed to keep missing...well, that's because they were sold out of them). I did end up purchasing the Bambi garden statue, though, which they kept for me there at that first store I can never remember the name of, so I wouldn't have to carry it through the park. I also purchased a gift card for Kid-at-Heart, who was giving it to a young friend.

Then, I had the MOST STUPID idea ever- why don't we get the kids CANDY FROM AROUND THE WORLD??? Sounds really cool, doesn't it?? Something EVERY kid would enjoy, and just be soooo happy to receive. We were so proud of ourselves for thinking of it! BEST MOMS EVAAAARRRRR!!!! SO we decided to start in France...

We went in for our first selection...and LOOK!! It was practically penny candy!! This was going to be a piece of cake!

Speaking of cake...I think it's time for a snack!

Joan & I decided to share a Pithivier-

OMG, am I glad we picked that one! It was buttery and almondy, it was not super sweet- I can't WAIT to have one again in two weeks! We continued on...

and stopped at the gardening exhibit, where we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The woman working there was so cute!! She asked if we had met the gentleman working on the other side- he was from Canada, like her, and they were married!! We said, "WOW!!! Imagine coming all the way to Florida from Canada and meeting & marrying someone from your hometown!!" OMG....

We went in search of candy...made in Morocco...

It was then we started to realize not all candy was created equally...or even created AT ALL...in some EPCOT countries. But they did have cookies, I think, so we got those...of course, Japan had too many choices, but we narrowed it down to some hard candy sushi, I think...

I think in Italy, we began to realize the problems...when you can't haul chocolate around WS all day in 100 degree heat, you can really only get gummys...and after a while, they all look the SAME!!!

Cont'd next post-

Interesting shot of the Eiffel Tower, is that a bird in the photo?

Many thanks for picking up the gift cards. You sure made a couple of little girls smile.

Stupidity, cont'd

We had a little prosecco from Italy...

See, what you really want is THIS-

Or some of THIS-

But you realize it will all end up turning into a huge melty, slimy mess, so...you have to pass. And buy another bag of gummies. In another shape. Germany had a good selection. Germany also had a MONKEY ON A BOTTLE!!!!

Yea, that's right. I got on my knees for him....

We decided we needed a break from even THINKING about our kids, and decided we would focus on what is REALLy important...ourselves!! We saw these GORGEOUS Mickey globes, and decided we couldn't live without one! The nice man with the sharp pointy vibrating tool etched DISMOMS 2010.

Then, the funny man with all the stickers wrapped our globes up securely for the plane. He also included 2-300 coloring pages for my 11 & 13 & 16 year old sons, along with armloads of stickers.

We wandered around to China, inventors and producers of all kinds of stuff- including some funky, squishy cakey cookies. But first, a visit to....a MONKEY!!!

The fact that I behave this way when I am entirely sober explains a LOT, doncha think?

Always love this guy-

Onto our shopping for sugar- what's THIS??

Crap. They're towels. Do you think my boys would like these?

Maybe, but not in their father's lifetime. This might get a little heavy on the walk back-

I know!! How about a monkey!

We ended up purchasing some kind of starchy thing, I still do NOT know what it was, but I can tell you that it has ended any love of Chinese desserts my kids may have ever potentially had, for LIFE!!!

All this shopping made us (duh) THIRSTY!!! And guess which country comes next???

It's time for lunch....
