We always bring a toaster on our trips, and have never been told otherwise by Disney. I can't see taking my food into their food court, and using their machines to cook it.

As long as the toaster is cool before we leave, then I feel there isn't a problem.

I am sensitive to smells, and unless the toast in burning, I really don't think my Disney neighbors would be able to smell my toast.

Going down in 11 days, and taking my toaster with me.

Also-I thought the thread with the Nemo fridge had a toaster and I thought a slow cooker or some other appliance with it.

From earlier reports, it is a fridge, a toaster (being replaced), and a hot pot. The hot pot is the dangerous item.

Vikkil70 will be adding a toaster (replacing lost one) Earlier reports of a coffeepot being added fell through..To all upcoming swappers-please make every effort to put the toaster in the refrigerator so we don't lose it again. If it isn't put inside, chances are it will disappear. Thanks

7/5 Heard from gail8 and all went well with the swap except now not only are the toaster and hotpot gone but the shelf is as well. I'm thinking that the same swapper who forgot to pack the toaster and hotpot inside the fridge also left out the shelf. It's a bummer that this happened but oh well. (It would have been nice if the person who left our things out could have let me know) Gail has offered to see if she can find one and send it on, I'll post here if it happens. If not, items in the fridge will just have to be stacked inside. To me honest last time we used it we took out the shelf anyway to make way for taller items.

Thank you. I am bothered by all scented products! People who aren't just don't realize how we suffer. Several times last year we were in lines in a covered area and without a second's warning, a Mom would whip out a bottle of aerosol sunscreen and spray in the direction of her child. Of course it goes into the air and all over anyone near as well. Please be considerate of others who have breathing problems.

I just saw this today in the Disney Mom's Panel - looks like toasters are OK to bring -
"Moms Panel * Answered Question

Planning a trip to ASM mid June, family suite. What are we allowed to bring when it comes to appliances, toaster, electric skillet, hot plate etc...?

Answered by
Erin F., NY Category
The rooms at the All Star Music Family Suites come equipped with a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. There is no need for you to bring these items from home.

There are toasters available for guest use in the quick-serve dining locations in all the resorts, or you could bring a toaster to keep in the kitchenette area of your room. However, hot plates, burners, and electric skillets are NOT allowed in guest rooms at WDW. Hot plates and burners are a real fire hazard and I have read that having one could be grounds for having you removed from your room."

That answer from the Mom's Panel was in fact referring to a suite with a kitchenette. I still do not believe toasters are allowed in the other guest rooms. I wouldn't want to be 'kicked out' for want of toast.

They are small towels that dry nicely. We got ours at Walmart in the camping section.

I also love the packing cubes, they give me lots more room in the suitcase and keep things nice and neatly organized. I also save the plastic holders of bed sheets and pillow cases (you know the zip up kind) and I use them to pack other essential items in (one pack of little swimmers, one for diapers, one for a medicine bag.
I also pack shampoo and conditioner and body wash in their own ziplock baggies, so that if they leak they will not get on anything else in the suitcase.

I noticed that someone on here spoke about the misting water bottle fans. We bought one in the parks last year and it is still going strong, we replaced the batteries and we will definitely be bringing it with us on this trip. I also will be bringing some King cole tea with us on this trip also!!
Where can I buy lavender exxential oil? I too am terrified of bedbugs. Thank you!

Just an information link;

EDIT: http://bedbugger.com/2007/07/11/lavenderoil/

I also read somewhere else that diatomaceous earth does not work either and can be harmful, especially to children and pets, so please do NOT use it in a hotel room.

I just bought 10 ponchos at Walmart for 88 cents apiece, for my family of 5

Also, bought 2 carabiner clips to hold a tote bag on the stroller handle. The tote bag will contain sunscreen, bug spray, first aid kit, wipes, outfit for youngest dd, snacks (also picked up some granola bars the other day) and an insulated lunch bag that will hold our refillable water bottles. We are staying at the FW Cabins so have a kitchen- plan to fill bottles halfway with bottled water and freeze overnight, then top off with more bottled water, to try and keep them colder longer.

26 days!!!!!!!

Thank you for all the tips! How do you freeze your water bottles? It seems like the resort mini fridge doesn't freeze.

The fridge works a lot better if you take it out of its cabinet...then things get really cold and can freeze! In fact...watch your cokes.
