Smile Pizza Delivery To Resort?

Hi -- Maybe this is a silly question...but can you have a pizza delivered from a place like Dominos to your room on the resort or do you have to order through disney dining?

Yes. When we were at POFQ a couple of weeks ago, we saw a Papa John's car leaving when we were on our way to the bus stop. I believe that they will only deliver to the lobby though

Yes, but don't do Domino's or some such other chain. Oh no...you MUST have Giordano's!

Disney's official policy for guest safety etc. Is that you meet external deliveries in the lobby.

Do they sometimes get to the rooms anyway? Yes.

Do they often get stopped by security and routed to the lobby like they were supposed to? Yes.

Oh, I didn't know it was against the rules, but we had a pizza delivered to our room @ POFQ in 9/08. We'd flown in late and nothing onsite was available. Don't remember which chain we called, tho'.

Giordano's looks amazing.

I may be wrong but when we were at SSR and a third party company came and put pamphlets under our door for ordering, I think there was a place that delivered beer and wine. Anyone hear of them?

I don't know where you are staying but when we were at All Star Sports Last year we couldn't find a pizza place that would deliver there. Pizza Hut told us it had something to do with the gate and if we were staying at Pop they could deliver there. Made no sense to us at the time but we didn't argue.

So it's true that they can deliver to deluxes as well? I remember reading years ago that pizza delivery was offered at the mods but I never knew if that was Disney delivery? Off site and only certain people allowed on or what the deal was. I was and still am confused. We're going to be at AKV this fall and really wanted to get pizza for a few nights. I hope we can. I'll save this link for later.

Yes. We ordered Pizza to SSR last year. (we stayed inside b/c of the rain and watched the American Idol finally) I just looked in the yellow pages, and there were several ads that stated they deliver to Disney Resorts. Now, our pizza was brought to our room, but maybe that is b/c SSR is HUGE. My co-worker stayed at ASMu, and had to meet the pizza guy in the lobby. The place we ordred from had decent prices, but you had to spend at least 30 bucks, but they also delivered beer, and wine. It was good!

Personally, I'm a fan of Flippers http://www.flipperspizzeria.com/

Pizza places are only allowed to deliver to the lobby of the resort. And furthermore, they are absolutely NOT allowed to put fliers under the doors. Some of them may be legitimate, others may just be out to harvest CC numbers.

We have ordered pizza at CBR several times and they have brought it right to the door. Security calls the room before letting them in the gate.

For Giordanos, if we are staying at Pop would we order from the Lake Buena Vista or the Orlando location?

Definitely putting these numbers in my travel notebook! I LOVE Chicago style pizza!

Thanks!

FYI, this is a scam. They have been known to steal CC info and the guest never gets their pizza. Or, they may deliver frozen pizza instead. Numerous people involved in dropping off the flyers have been trespassed from Disney property.
