Online Check-in?
What are the benefits to Online Check-in ?
What are the cons ? If you were staying at the WL would you use online check-in ? Last visit was Dec 06, and this was not available. Just looking for words of wisdom from the DIS forum.

We used online check-in for our August, 2009 stay at the CBR. There was a separate line for online check-in guests and when we were called up, our packet was already waiting for us. The castmember simply had to confirm my identification and punch in a little info in the computer. Check-in was complete in about 5 minutes.

we used online check in for our stay last week and were given a $5 disney gift card as a 'thank you."

Big fan of online check-in. I can't think of any reasons not to use it.
As mentioned already, the hotels have a special online check-in line and your room packet is waiting for you when you arrive. You can also choose from a few room requests like ground floor, fridge, and crib. The special line may or may not be an advantage, but if you're arriving on a full DME bus you may have a much shorter line if everyone else has to get in the regular line. I'm looking forward to the next time I check-in online if they are giving out $5 rewards - have not gotten that before.
