Is Costco still delivering to Disney Resorts? I wanted to order some water for our trip in two weeks. Thanks

When I looked into this a while ago, the Costco website did not "understand" the Disney resort's street address. This is apparently because the Costco site verifies every delivery address against the U.S. Postal Service database. Since USPS does not recognize Disney street addresses, instead using the P.O. Box exclusively, those addresses fail the database check and Costco shows you some annoying error message. Unless there is some way to tell the Costco website "Yes it's a real address, just ship it there, dummy!" it may be hard to place an order.

Mind you, this was back in 2011 when I ordered from Costco (our last time shipping, I did it via Amazon)...

I followed the address format listed in the first post and it worked fine for both sites. Like, for the Beach Club

Name: Miss OutandAbout
Company: c/o Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Address 1: 1800 WEST EPCOT RESORT BLVD.
Address 2: #4xxxxxxxxxx (Reservation Number)
City, State, Zip: LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL 32830-8423

I've done it for the past 3 years with no problem.

Ah, that's good to hear, it sounds like costco.com has gotten better at recognizing Disney street addresses. The dad in Carousel of Progress is right -- things just get better and better!

ETA: I notice that the USPS database now recognizes Disney street addresses. If you type in the Pop's address, for example, and request the ZIP code, you no longer get the "address doesn't exist" message. I wouldn't be surprised if USPS still funnels everything through the Disney PO Box, though.

Yep. It was the same brand as Costco -- Zephyrhills or something or other, Nestle's regional brand in FL. It was a couple bucks more than Costco but we had a gift certificate just itchin' to be spent and we've got the Prime membership so it was 2 days shipping. It worked just the same as Costco with the address though, no problems at all.

Oops, I realized a mistake I made earlier...

I meant the addresses and formatting found in first post of the Shipping to your Resort Thread. The beauty of having the water sent -- besides not having to carry it yourself or pay the exorbitant pricing for Dasani -- is that both Costco and Amazon ship via UPS so there are no worries about it getting lost in the Disney Mail system. Even with some resorts conference fee, it still works out to a much better price for water, especially for fish like my family. (And much better tasting to boot. )

I have Amazon prime so I am going to order a case of water from there to be delivered to AoA. How far in advance should I do it? Just 2 days before, or what? Thanks!!

I really don't understand why Disney won't make cases of water available to guests at a reasonable price through their resort shops. It makes no sense. They could still over-charge in the parks for bottles of water, but if so many people have it shipped why not just provide the convenience?

It's all about making a buck...or two or three. We ordered two cases from Staples....got free shipping and it was at the resort waiting on us at check in.

I have prime too.. can I make a suggestion? order on costco.com if you can, it's much cheaper than the prime rates. shipping is included and it's like $8 and change for the same case. They are delieverd UPS so you have to account for no deliveries on the weekends. If I am arriving on a Friday or Saturday I order Monday/Tuesday at the latest. Hope this helps!

Do you have to be a Costco member to order? We don't have a Costco so I don't know. We're arriving on a Friday.

I don't believe you do. I have heard of some saying there is like a few cents up charge if you are not. Either way it's cheaper than Prime so it's worth a shot! I would order on the Monday to be safe. I always do my mailing label

Guest "Smith" arrival 1/2/13
then the address... it's nice they ship UPS because USPS can mess things up with deliveries the way their mail is set up

Costco's website will no longer accept Disney resort addresses. I tried to deliver to SSR two weeks ago and it doesn't recognize the address. We used to use Costco.
