I think I would have killed myself if it had rained like that on our vacation. I do not do well with rain when I have one vacation a year. I hope our luck holds out this year. A few afternoon showers are okay but not a monsoon. We did have rain the night we went to MBYBQ but we had a great time anyway. The BQ is under a shelter so we did not get wet except getting there and leaving....
We live in Virgnina to, the bad part was when we left Virginia it was raining the day before we left got down to Orlando, weather was beautiful, the next day that Monday night it was a WRAP after that RAIN RAIN RAIN until that Thursday, needless to say I was sad to leave WDW but happy to return to the beautiful weather in VA

We were there last May and the 3 previous Mays and 2009 was the worse we have ever seen. We also went in December too and discovered we like the cooler temps much better so we are waiting til Dec. this year to return! Even bring the whole extended family with us!

Same for us. The rain started after our trip. We've been there the same time for the last 5 years or so and never had an issue with rain (knock on wood).

We were there for 10 days last May and it rained just about every day. We have never spent so much time at the hotel. We just got tired of being wet!!! We are going back again this May and hoping for the usually great weather in May.

We were there the 16th-23rd and encountered all the rain, I think the first day was our completely dry day. We still had a good time, but can't wait to head back May 2-9. I think it was a fluke. I hope it was a fluke

OK, now that I have more concrete dates, I was there from the 9th through the 13th. It rained pretty hard on one of the afternoon other than that I do remember it being horribly hot! And I was 28 weeks pregnant so I was that much more hot! I bought one of those spray fans and it was great. We've gone every May since 2003 (except for 2008 when we went in April). Last May was definitely the hottest that I can remember. Hoping it's cooler this year! (oh an no rain - or very light showers that only come when I'm in shows or eating, lol)

We were there the first week of May and we ROASTED! We were told that the heat was a long way from normal temps...I don't think it rained once while we were there!

This year we'll be there a week earlier and I'm hoping it won't be as hot because we're traveling with my dad and he gets just *a little* cranky in the heat....

We were there during the down pours in May also, and going again this May!

We would look at each other soaking wet and say
"A rainy day in Disney beats a sunny day at home!"

We tried not to let it slow us down, but I did learn if you stuff newspapers in your shoes, they dry over night!

"There is a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day"

We were suppose to go the week that ended up raining but ended up going tothe week prior. We did get some storms here and there but nothing like we heard the following week. We are going back on May 14th and like so many others... I'm keeping my fingers cross! So much time planning and money spent... I don't want rain!! I froze all winter in NY so my bones are ready to take in some sunshine!

We went last May, and are going again this May. Last year, we left the day the rain started. We were lucky! I'm hoping for similar weather this year, but I'm not going to worry about anything until a few days before our trip and I see the forcast.

We were there the first week of Ma last year and no rain but the heat was almost as hot as July. Going again this year May 8-13, hoping for little rain and maybe not 100 degree days.

we were there but aren't going this year. First day there, we went to MK and it rained soooo hard for so long that water was literally up to our ankles.

And then we went in October when it was 95ish every day. Oy!

We went may 3-13th and it only rained once but it was ridiculously HOT, with heat index it was a little over 100. We were there before the torrential rains, I heard it was awful! Early May is our usual time to go and it's usually very nice weather, low humidity, barely any precipitation.

I think last year was a fluke and hope that everyone going in May has perfect weather, don't get discouraged based on last year!! I wish I was going this year
