Port Orleans Riverside and Royal Guest Rooms?

Hi, I am a 14 year old girl who has been to Disney over 10 times. This June, my family and I are staying for 8 nights in a Royal Guest Room at POR. Does anyone have any information or reviews about this resort, and particularly the royal rooms? Thank you!

There are no suites at POR. Royal rooms are just rooms. Here is a link to the POR thread which should hold all the information you need.

You could also look at this website:

www.portorleans.org

Lots of great info and pictures there. Port Orleans Riverside is my favorite moderate resort. I just love staying there.

Aww...Love that you're taking an active role and interest in the planning of your family's trip!
We will be staying in a Royal Room in March, with our two children. They look very sweet and tastefully done. I went on you tube and found a lot of video of the grounds of POR and of the Royal Rooms. Everything I've read has been positive. Check out You Tube in addition to the links others provided

My family stayed in a Royal Room in October. We enjoyed the room. The decorations are great and there are many little hidden touches (my daughter loved finding all the characters in the wallpaper border). The resort itself is beautiful. There are lots of extra activities for families (I recommend a carriage ride if your family has the time and money). The boat ride to Downtown Disney is nice as well, especially around sunset. If your family has time some evening, try taking the boat and having supper there.

In my opinion, the resort does get negative marks for the food court (very crowded and inconsistent food quality) and the buses (crowded and often long waits). But overall, it's a good resort, particularly for the atmosphere. Personally, I am glad we stayed at a Royal Room once, but I would not pay for the extra expense a second time.

I also recommend the website mentioned by the PP. I used it a lot and it has just about any information you would need.

By the way, it’s nice to see a 14 year old taking the initiative to help with vacation planning. Well done.
