Just found your PTR! I feel your pain with the split stay. We were originally booked for 7 nights at the VWL but when we decided to add 2 more nights they were full so we are at AKL for the first two. No complaints b/c we LOVE it over there but with two toddlers it's a pain to move resorts...I didn't bother waitlisting b/c we have two other rooms for inlaws and I could only waitlist two rooms at a time. Oh well. We have done it before..we just don't unpack as much as we usually do.

Love the game pics..my husband is a huge Mets fan but he has never been to a game since we are about 6 hrs. from NYC. Someday....

Go for the Sunrise Safari!!!

Sunrise Safari

Sunrise Safari Breakfast Adventure is exclusive to concierge guests staying at our resort. It is offered on Thursdays and Sundays. The safari starts at 6:30 A.M. if the park opens at 8 A.M. & it starts at 7:30 A.M. if the park opens at 9 A.M..

You would meet in the concierge lounge at 6:15 A.M. or 6:45 A.M., depending on park hours & will check-in at the concierge desk. The concierge will scan your park admission into the park which is required to participate in this experience.

An animal programs cast member will be meeting our guests in the Sunset Overlook to give a run down of the morning's activities. You will then take a private bus, which will go through some of the backstage areas at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

You will then walk over to the Kilimanjaro Safari attraction and board the first jeep onto the savanna. You will be able to ask the animal programs cast member questions and there will be frequent stops for you to take pictures. The safari will last from 45 minutes to 1 hour long. Afterwards you will have a delicious breakfast buffet that awaits you.

You are free to go about your day, at this point. If you would like to go back to the resort, you will take the regular bus back.

The cost is $65.00 for adults and $32.50 for children 3 to 9. There is a 48 hour cancellation policy. The unpaved roads of Harambe Wildlife Reserve pass through rough and rugged terrain. For your safety you should be in good health and free from high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness or other conditions that could be aggravated by this adventure. Expectant mothers should not ride. If you have special needs (wheelchair or scooter) or dietary needs, please let us know so that we may accommodate you.

Safaris are may be subject to minimum booking requirements. All charges are posted as a room charge. No meal packages can be used to pay for this event. Can be booked up to 180 days prior to your arrival.

I've always thought the Sunrise Safari would be really cool. I'd try it...I think it would really round out your AKL experience.

Thanks for stopping by....

We have seen the Mets twice this year. Sorry to say they lost both times to the Nats.

But baseball is in our blood, I think we are going for it, for the sunrise safari that is.

Brandi I am going not being able to tell my kids.. I started packing the little ones. This week I want to get them all packed and get everything together. I don't want to wait until the last minute. I do have to wait to pack my oldest till the week of. But if he is the only one it won't be hard. I really have to stay away from the MNSSHP threads.. those are doing me in

I can understand that.... I am going to see my oldest grand daughter in October for her dance recital and only her moms knows I am coming, it is a surprise.

LOL!! I have two step-children - the oldest is going to be 22 and got married in January. I've already told him that I am WAY too young to be a grandmother and asked him to hold off at least until I'm 50 before they have kids! (I still think 50 is too young, but that's 8 more years away!)
