Any discounts on meals or merchandise?

Are we eligible for discounts in any shops or counter service restaurants? We are arriving March 6th. Also, were can we find dvc items (shirts, mugs, etc)? This is our first dvc trip so it's all new to us. Thanks!

If you look under perks on the member site it has all of the discounts listed!

Idk about counter service discounts, but there are some good ones for table service..for instance..20% off lunch at Les Chefs de France..

Some of the shops at DTD have discounts I think....or I may be thinking of AP discounts..

check the member website!

For DVC stuff check out your resort gift shop...SSR had a lot of DVC stuff last time I was there your resort might too!

You won't get any discounts at the resort stores on DVC merchandise. Usually the DVC discounts are similar to the AP discounts, but there are differences. Sometimes it's only for lunch times. But I don't think there are any at the theme parks, just the resorts and maybe DTD.

There is a kind of synergism with discounts and manipulating them to your best advantage. Generally you will not find merchandise discounts in the parks. However you will be able to get discounts at select locations in Downtown Disney such as the World of Disney. If you have an annual pass and/or the Disney Visa you may find other discounts. While we were at WDW this past Christmas one of the Cast Members told us they were giving an unannounced discount to guests using the Disney Visa Card, however it was not automatic -- you had to ask the CM for it. When we asked we received the Card Holders discount PLUS the DVC or AP discount, whichever was the better deal. In other words we received two discounts on many of our merchandise purchases in the parks (which is very unusual). So, in addition to checking out the normal published perks always ask the CMs what additional discounts are being offered. Just because a discount is not being offered in one merchandise location in the parks doesn't mean they are not offered in other locations in the same park.

We are new DVCers, too! Just back from our first DVC trip.

We bough APs with the DVC discount ($100 off each one). Then we go in the habit of asking everywhere we shopped......are there any discounts? DVC, AP, D23, Disney Visa? The CMs were very nice and usually knew what the best deal was.
