want to spend most time at EPCOT and AK what hotel?

would you recommend?

Last time we went we stayed at WL and spent most of our time at MK which worked great with boat transportation.

What hotels would be best for Epcot and AK focused trip?

I would choose AKL - only a few minutes or less by bus to AK, and the bus ride from the Lodge to Epcot is about 10 minutes. Or you can catch a bus from AK directly to Epcot and vice-versa.

2nd the AKL because you won't have to share a bus when you go to Epcot.

This map shows the resorts in relation to the parks:

Looking at the map, I would actually pick CSR, since it is in between the two resorts.

Beach Club is tops for Epcot

We stayed at Beach Club Resort because it was the closeset resort to Epcot and we probably visited Epcot every day on our last trip- even if only to walk through to the monorail to catch a quick ride to MK or other resorts for meals(must have a Park Hopper pass).

We had a 90 second walk from our room door to the international gateway, which was very handy for middle of the day breaks, or quick trips into Epcot to eat at numerous different restaurants or ride specific rides.

We also viewed IllumiNations multiple times from multiple views including the Storm-Along Bay pool & hot tub (not the best view- didn't see a lot of the show, just the outside edges, but I was in the Hot Tub with my sweetie, so who really cares?), which is the ablsolute best resort pool on WDW property.

Staying at BC means being close to shopping and multiple restaurants on the Board Walk- The Flying Fish, Kouzzina, Boardwalk Bakery, Cape May Cafe, Jelly Rolls, Yachtsman Steakhouse, and much more!

You can walk or ride a boat to DHS and take a short bus ride to AK.

My vote would be for BC (or YC, or BWI). There's much more to do in and around EPCOT, so I would expect more time would be spent in that area.

Akl

I vote AKL.

I'm doing the exact same thing as the OP. We're planning on at eating at Epcot nearly every day, but we also adore AKL. After much thinking, we settled on AKL based on resort pics. AKL reminds me of home

My vote is sentimental and not at all based on ease of mobility!

With an Epcot and AK focused trip, I would stay at an Epcot resort over AKL. That way, you don't have to take any bus ride at all to get to one of the two parks you want to spend time at (no bus ride is better than a short bus ride anytime!). Also, I agree with others than there is a lot more to do in the Epcot resort area than there is around AKL.

After reading other posts, I guess it depends on which park you plan to spend most time in. If you're only going to AK once, then stay near Epcot. If you're spending more time at AK, stay at AKL. Don't forget, if you stay at one of the Epcot resorts (BC/YC/BW), the buses from there to AK or DHS or DTD stop at the Swan/Dolphin/BC/YC/BW, so very long bus ride and long time to wait for buses. However, they're great to just walk over to Epcot anytime. Lots of good suggestions - good luck deciding!!!

For Epcot CBR is pretty close and not that far from AK. or mostly AK, AKL, not that far from Epcot as well.

You could always do a split stay.
1/2 time at AKL and other half at a Epcot Resort (I love BC).
