Food items available at resort gift shop?

I'm planning to use Garden Grocer for some of food needs, but just found out on about thread that milk is available in some of the gift shops. We are staying at AKL and POFQ - what other food items are available?

There isn't a whole lot available at POFQ. I noticed milk, bread, peanut butter, jelly, donuts, chips and dips, things like that. There are also small packages of cookies, dried fruit, candy, wine, pint sizes of rum, vodka.

Sorry, I didn't notice, but I imagine if they have 12 packs it's quite expensive. We used refillable mugs for soda and had bottled water from the food court.

I just chatted with the DH. We are skipping Garden Grocery. We'll pack a few more snack, buy milk and other snacks from the resort gift shop and get two refillable mugs. Thanks for your help!

Sounds like a plan. You're very welcome, wish I could've helped more.

BelleandTinker, there is a Hess gas station across from the Pleasure Island bus stop in Downtown Disney. They have quite an assortment of food and snacks there. You could probably buy most of what you need there.

Most of the drinks in the regular gift shops are going to be of the single serving variety. However, at AKL, since AKV is also there, you would have access to a wider variety of food items and larger volume drink containers. At the DVC resorts, they sell large bottled water, milk, soda, lunch meat, cheese, bread, peanut butter, jelly, chips, bagels, doughnuts, pop tarts, cereal, whole fruit, and many other items that you could use in your AKL room. Keep in mind that your refrigerator is going to be one of those dorm size cubes - it's not huge and it doesn't hold a lot of large items. In fact, when I was at BC in December, I took the shelf out of my fridge just so I could get a larger juice bottle in it.

If I remember correctly, the gift shops (non-DVC) sell whole boxes of donuts like Entenmenn's. We have bought them several times. Milk is sold in quarts and half gallons.
