We had USPS successfully deliver to the front desk with 10 days lead time. Don't remember why we went that route instead of FedEx or ups. Did you do a thourogh read up on the resort and general forums on shipping?

I expect the Ft will do what others will/will not for the same reasons.
Staff handling and notification to us of our pkgs was vvery good. Enjoy!

When we were there in Jan/Feb we had 4 40lb boxes delivered via Fed-Ex to the front desk at the fort. Everything went great they even were going to deliver them to our site if we wanted them to at no charge. This is not the first time we have had things delivered to the fort and every time it went great.

If I were you I would put your name on the outside and a phrase something like, "Hold for Arrival on 5/22/13".

Did you do anthing like that, Readerbug or Corgidad?

We usually get mail forwarded when we will be at the Fort for several weeks. We have also had occasion to receive Fed Ex packages on shorter notice. We always include the dates of our stay in parentheses after our names in the address.

@ bama Ed I had the packages addressed to me with the Forts address. We were there when they arrived, I tracked the shipment and let the front desk know what day it was going to arrive. When the packages arrived they called my cell and asked if I wanted them to deliver to my site or hold for me to pick up. It always has gone great when I have had to have packages delivered to the Fort.

Also as a general rule sending anything to any hotel. Also put your name as John Doe, Guest with your arrival date. It really lets them know that this is not for an employee at the hotel.

I used to work for a convention and visitors bureau and was the second back up for the mail room. Had to do this all the time.
