Disney gift cards for sale at KMart?

I remember seeing $25 and $50 Disney gift cards for sale at KMart at Christmas time. I have $40 in KMart gift cards right now. Does anyone know if I can use the KMart gift cards to buy the Disney gift card? It says on the back "good for ALL merchandise".

I also have a Sears gift card, can I use that to buy Disney cards at KMart (since they are the same company now) or not? Thanks!

You cannot use gift cards to buy gift cards at any Sears Company stores, including kmart. HTH!

Aw, that's not the answer I wanted to hear. Bummer.

I still have to wonder why though? I always thought giftcards were considered the same as cash?

Probably because Disney gets most of the money from the DIsney gift cards, and KMart gets more of the money when you buy other stuff. Maybe you could get things at KMart you would typically get somewhere else(groceries, paper goods, etc) and then use the money you don't spend at the other place to buy the cards?

I dont think it is just a Disney or Kmart thing. I was trying to buy some Visa giftcards with an American Express and in the disclaimers it states cannot be traded for cash and that is what a giftcard is in their eyes. It is truly a bummer!
