1)A service which would allow you to rent Disney movies in the room, either a RedBox type machine in the resort lobbies, recyclable DVDs that erase after so many hours or a PPV type service on the resort TVs. Sometimes after a full day in the parks all I want to do is curl up and catch a Disney flick before bed.
2) A more flexible option on the dining plan. I love that some of the more popular TS restaurants are doing a " Chef's Favorite" type menu so people can try the apps, BUT I would love to be able to exchange my dessert for a side salad, or to order two sides, or an app ala carte, and not have to pay extra
( This is the main reason I am ditching the dining plan on my next trip) I realize this defeats the central purpose of the dining plan, but, a girl can dream
3)I would really love a little card (like at some of the national chains) that tells me the name of my Mousekeeper . I have even been to chain hotels that leave the name of the housekeeper on little tip envelopes. That way I can leave each person who services the room a fair tip. I don't always have singles each day to leave a few out.

Totally agree - Exercise is needed. For many Disney is the most exercise they get all year. Also if your going to put "extras" in value resorts what makes the deluxes worth the estra $$$.

Do you have children (possible more than 1)? I can not imagine you do. If you did you would understand why kids need strollers. We travel with 3 children under 6 years old and YES we need strollers.

Another great idea.

I need to add mine - Improved kids menues on the dining plan. Disney has horrible pizza and mac. and cheese and very few other options. I don't know about other kids but mine like more than chix. nuggets, hot dogs, mac. and cheese, and pizzza.

I think while shaded bus stops at the Value resorts would be nice, if you keep upgrading the Value resorts they will no longer be that. They would then be Moderate resorts. There has to be differences between the 2 to justify the difference in cost.

I would say Disney just needs to enforce the rules it already has in place. A CM catches you smoking outside of a DSA? You either put out the smoke or move, or you are gone. You take flash pictures on a dark ride? Your pictures are deleated when you get off, and you are not allowed back on the ride. And maybe put in the stocks where people flash their cameras right in your face. Kids cannoballing into the hot tub, the family is removed from the pool area.

100% agree - it is a rule enforce it.

I agree flash photography is against the rules - but you can not enforce a rule with crazy outcomes. Really how could they justify deleting pictures or flashing back in their faces. Yes remove them but the others are not posted results of using a flash.

Kids cannoballing into the hot tub, the family is removed from the pool area.

Agree this is not allowed and should be enforced.
Disney does need to enforce rules that are posted but than they would not be makign everyone happy so they never will.

Must agree with this one. My 3 year old daughter tires of the kids choices. We usually share something from our meals.

Have to disagree with banning/limiting strollers. I try to be very courteous with my stroller. However, I too have hit a couple of ankles.. when someone thinks they'll be able to cut over in front of it and then realizes there wasn't as much room as they thought.

I was kidding about flashing people in the face with cameras. While I feel the urge to do it when some moron is flash-flashing away on Pirates, I know it would never be an actual punishment. Goodness. That is why I put the roll-eyes there, I was kidding.

But I do think there needs to be some sort of punishment for those who keep flashing away, ruining the ride for the rest of us. If no flash pics are allowed, why not stop the offender and make them delte the pics? I'm not sure what else you could do to stop it.

I do think that the reason Disney doesn't enforce some of the rules is that they don't want to deal with unhappy guests. Maybe those of us who are ticked off by the rule breakers need to be a bit more vocal.

I wish that would work - I am a total rule follower person so rule breakers drive me crazy. What I hate the most is peopel the clearly knowthe ruels but intentionally break them. Some people are just clueless but some jsut don't care about other people.

As much as I would love to see the rule breakers stopped - i just don't think WDW will do it - $$$$. I think CM are trained to make everyone happy and to turn the cheek to minor rule offenders.

I know, to stop this problem, they can sell attractions pictures in stores as you exit attraction. Do not understand why they do not do that? I would love to have a set from POTC and HM.

Given that it's Florida, having shaded bus stops at the Values seems more like a health and safety issue than an extra comfort issue to me! And honestly, the sidewalk right behind the bus stops (at least at POP) is covered. Why didn't they extend that awning out further? :

checking key cards at resort pools, especially SAB and other deluxe pools. i know SAB checks but lately it's been iffy.

not elimintating strollers but finding a way to make the traffic flow smoother, something like dividing the walkways further to keeps strollers to one side. most walkways arn't big enough so there goes my plan... just something to lessen "ankle biting".

free wi-fi in the park! itunes has all those great apps, but with an ipod touch u can't access them without wi-fi!

i think disney is doing a great job as it is!!!!! anything they do now is just an improvement!!!!!

Ok Ok so I'm a little selfish but wouldn't it be so nice to walk around without having your ankles attacked?

I guess the little ones need a little break.

I second the free WIFI in every room.

That way it would be easier for everyone to DIS live from their trips.

Well, first, Pop Century isn't always the furthest bus stop (at DHS, it's pretty close to the park entrance); but aside from that, moving walkways wouldn't work because you'd have to have SO many points of entry/exit, plus with multiple entries you'd have people cutting each other off...

I guess I'm not seeing how this relates to Guest Comfort : Guest wallets, sure - but believe it or not, not everyone brings computers on vacation, and so not everyone should be expected to subsidize the cost of wireless connection for those who choose to be/stay connected.

But SO much of Animal Kingdom IS the animals. It just makes sense to close the park at a reasonable time as far as the animals are concerned.

More buses dedicated to each resort. It's quite frustrating staying at, say, POFQ and having to go through the multiple stops at POR before going on to a park.
More buses = higher costs.

Not exactly a FP but lets you get a food, go to bathroom, use some interactive games and so and not to stand in line for 2 hours.
But that's the whole point of FastPass - to avoid waiting in line for two hours. Now, granted, Disney's original expectation was that Guests would spend money - shop, eat - instead of visiting other attractions; but FastPass allows the Guest to get food, go to the bathroom, visit other attractions... while waiting for the FP time, AND it avoids clogging up the waiting area.

I wasn't going to address individual "give us free wi-fi" posts, but... sure, HoJo's does. Many properties in the same category do. Higher-end hotels, and resorts like Walt Disney World, don't because, well, the competition doesn't. It's all about the competition.

Quote:
Revamp the dining plan to offer even more flexibility. Maybe 3 "credits" and one snack per day, with a CS being one credit and a TS being two. Eliminate desserts and charge less. Or include continental breakfast at the mods and deluxes, again many "cheap" hotels include this.
Again, WDW is a resort, not a "cheap" hotel - and again, it's all about the competition. There's no reason for Disney to include Continental breakfast when its competitors don't. As for changes to the Dining Plan, well, Disney already offers three versions. Four, if you include "don't get any Dining Plan, pay out of pocket, eat exactly what and how you want". Remember, the Dining Plans are options, not mandatory.

Quote:
Somehow come up with a way to get purchases back to your room even if you are leaving the next day. We often have only a two-night stay and if we don't buy anything till day 2 of a 2 night stay we cannot have it sent to the room. We have no choice whatsoever with a one-night stay.
Wouldn't work. You'd have to have (a) a cut-off time by which the purchase had to be made; (b) some system to collect purchases about every ten minutes; (c) some system to deliver to each resort every ten minutes; (d) a mandatory "you can't leave before ___" policy for the Guests; (e) a LOT more Cast Members - for collection, sorting, transporting, delivering the merchandise.

But Disney doesn't want you in the room relaxing (sleeping, okay, but not 'just' relaxing). They want you out of the room spending money!
