good restaurant to sit at and watch fireworks (couple questions)

Doesn't have to be a full meal, could be just apps and a soda (somebody had said Cantina was a good place, but they're apparently closed so looking for another choice).

Are the fireworks the same as illuminations and wishes or is there something different about these 3 words?

I don't think there are any other lakeside counter service restaurants. Rose & Crown is table service and has patio tables with a view, but you're not guaranteed to get one (if you're seated inside they do let you go outside to a viewing area.)

Illuminations is the name of Epcot's nighttime show that includes fireworks. Wishes is the name of the Magic Kingdom's nighttime show that includes fireworks. There are no other separately scheduled fireworks shows in these parks.

Thank you - is it pretty easy to see the fireworks wherever you are in the parks or are there recommended places to go and watch? At about what time do they start?

Wishes are best viewed from in front of the Castle. We like being on Main St to the right of the castle, more towards Tomorrowland. The days/times of Wishes can vary. Check the Disney site for days/times.

We like viewing Illimuninations between Mexico and Canada. We've also watched from the bridge between UK and France. Watch the way the wind is blowing as you don't want the smoke to get in your way! Illuminations is shown every night at 9 pm.

I agree with paragraph one. But if you wish to be ahead of the rush exiting the park Wishes can be viewed quite well just past the exits and there are no crowds there during Wishes. (We did that once.)

I think dreamscometure meant to say between Mexico and China. Mexico to Canada would be any spot in World Showcase. We watched it from between Mexico and Norway in May and had excellent viewing by lining up along the fence 90 minutes early. In December we went after the late Candlelight Processional so we didn't have much time to select a spot. We were among the crowd on the bridge mentioned above. We were standing in the 3rd row back so did not have an unobstructed view of what takes place on the water. Front row from bridge would be great! (Yes the 2009 CPP included reserved viewing area for Illuminations but it was in center at the lagoon's edge in Future World and late show people simply did not have enough time to get there.)

The other fireworks are in the Fantasmic show at DHS. Check the Disney schedule for dates and times. No fireworks by AK for obvious reasons.
