Short Stay--Short Report about CBR!! - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hi'ya all! Here's my 1st try a a trip report!

4 parks, 4 days, 1 hair cut, 1 frozen mom, & 5 snack credits to use!
So, how did this rushed, little, trip go? We will see!

First my family!

Me(Tricia)-32
I'm a SAHM who loves to talk! My second loves are Disney & shopping!
My mom is my best friend! Oh yeah I love my hubby, too!

Hubby(Artie)-36 Is a great father & a hard worker! He's also a big kid at times!
He loves all the big rides @ WDW, hunting, fishing, & taking us to WDW!

Son(Justin)-9
Is like me, he doesn't really go for the big thrills, more for the atmosphere!
He's into War history, guns, & the Saints!

Daughter(Jordyn)-4
Is a true princess! A little bit sweet, a little bit naughty, & a whole lotta fun!She loves all things pink & shiny & all the thrill rides! She's trying hard to grow the 2" to be tall enough for Everest!

This trip was to WDW! We stayed @ CBR in the Pirate Rooms,water view for 4 nights!
Room 3509

Day 1-- arrival day!

We drove over(live about 50 min. away) getting there @ about 4:20p. Checked-in and went to check out our Pirate room! The kids didn't know any thing about where we were staying so they were super excited! The resort(CBR) is beautiful! We were pleased w/ our room & the kids were playing pirates w/in 5 minutes!

We had dinner ressie for Shutter's in Old Port Royale for 5:15p so we headed over in the car. The restaurant was empty, which sorta scared me!
We were seated and had a lovely view of the water and sunset!

The kids ordered the cheese pizza, salad & fries for 1 and fruit & fries for the other. Pretty standard WDW Pizza!

Hubby & I ordered the Shrimp Fritters Appetizer I had heard about. My hubby liked them, I did not! They were very peppery! Not for me! The dipping sauces were a bit different!! For our main course we both ordered the Char-crusted NY strip, mine w/ shutter's potatoes(mashed sweet), his w/ steamed veggies. Potatoes were SO yummy & light! Hubby enjoyed the veggies, but the steak...WOW very good!
A couple of deserts to go & we were off to settle in for the night.

Tomorrow: Hollywood Studios & ESPN Weekend!

I was there last week, what days, where you there?
When the sun came out, it felt really good, but 60 to me, is darn right balmy, compared to our 20 degree days.

We were there Thurs.25th-Mon.1st. I was freezing!

Your trip sounds like fun. I've always wanted to stay at CBR. We stayed at Coronado Springs and loved it. Can't wait for pictures.

I was there the same days.
Can't wait to here how the changed the PepperMarket-something about ala carte?. My dh wanted to go eat breakfast there, but I nixed it, since we had a bad breakfast last year.
